how many people made the mistake I did?
So I bought destiny on the first weekend of the game, so I didn't have any strange coins and I didn't even see xûr so I missed out on red death. By the next weekend and courtesy of the loot cave [i]#tbt[/i] I had accumulated 20 strange coins and was ready to make my first purchase from Xûr. My noobish self thought, should I buy armor or gjallarhorn? I thought that because gjallarhorn was heavy exotic that it wouldn't be useful and I would want to reserve my exotic spot for a "superior" primary or secondary that I would use more regularly. So I made the biggest mistake [b][i][u]EVER[/u][/i][/b]. And I still regret it :(
Now I never pass on exotics. Even if they're not worth the coins
Note: the only exotics I'm missing now are pocket infinity, red death and necrochasm
Edit: really 1000 people? RNGesus needs to help some brothers out

I made the same mistake I've been playing since the beta but I felt like a rocket launcher? When do I need that. I had no idea how much damage it did 😩

I think I have only ever bought truth (which I have dismantled) and no land beyond.... I bought no land beyond, because it may get patched... But I didn't buy Ghorn when it was there, got mine from night fall and got ice breaker from a legendary engram, the only gun I regret not buying is Suros the 2x it was up... But I've had ice breaker since like the first week of release and still have my original one, which has been upgraded lol

Yup you buy every exotic gun he sells just to have it because you never know the buff they may give to it or how good it really is.

Yeah but for me I didn't have enough coins to buy anything until the ice breaker. So luckily I bought that cause I wouldn't have had it until 2 weeks ago. I also finally got gjallahorn as well. I'm still missing out on red death and suros which xur has sold before. So I'm not making that mistake again and I always have at least 50 coins just in case I need the armor and weapon.

well i think at that point we were all expecting strange coins to be really tough to get. not many people knew of the weekly heroic. i thought it was some super rare thing that i'd have to save for like 3 weeks and really pick and choose the items i want. plus i don't think i had the coins then, any way. took me a while to level. the game dropped at the beginning of the semester and at a time where work was busy. too many other priorities to care about farming.

The only exotics what i dont purchased the Plan C second time (how stupid that Xur was sold plan c twice), and the no land beyond (since its almost the worst exotic weapon in the game). I really want gjallahorn and icebreaker, rngesus dont like me. I always get nothing from the weekly/nighfalls. I only had luck one time since i have the game: i got the fatebringer in the first time when i play VOG hard.

5 RespuestasI almost didn't get dragons breath because I love my legendary rocket launcher and was kinda planning on waiting for truth because it also has proximity detonation. I'm so glad I got dragons breath.

After missing Gjallarhorn and Suros I didn't make the mistake again, I underestimated Gjallarhorn cause it was a heavy, and thought Suros perk was underwhelming. I made sure to get ice breaker that time it was sold and made sure my brother got it as well even though he didn't like sniper rifles. Thankfully I got 2 Gjallarhorns from drops one from a nightfall and one from Atheon way before the dlc dropped. Pretty much the only thing worth getting now for me is a heart of praxic fire and a 331 Mida, everything else is either obtained or not worth it.
