how many people made the mistake I did?
So I bought destiny on the first weekend of the game, so I didn't have any strange coins and I didn't even see xûr so I missed out on red death. By the next weekend and courtesy of the loot cave [i]#tbt[/i] I had accumulated 20 strange coins and was ready to make my first purchase from Xûr. My noobish self thought, should I buy armor or gjallarhorn? I thought that because gjallarhorn was heavy exotic that it wouldn't be useful and I would want to reserve my exotic spot for a "superior" primary or secondary that I would use more regularly. So I made the biggest mistake [b][i][u]EVER[/u][/i][/b]. And I still regret it :(
Now I never pass on exotics. Even if they're not worth the coins
Note: the only exotics I'm missing now are pocket infinity, red death and necrochasm
Edit: really 1000 people? RNGesus needs to help some brothers out
Edit 2: YES FINALLY I GOT THE BEAUTY FROM THE DEATHSINGER IM SO HAPPY :D.

I was one coin away, turned in some engrams, got my 17th strange coin. I was so excited to get gjallarhorn, only to find that where xur had been mere minutes ago, there was nothing. I have hoped that rngesus would take pity on me, but the only random exotic I have gotten is no land beyond. :(

I pass on exotics sometimes because if it doesn't match my playstyle I don't see the point. That way if it drops it's a cool reward and I don't have that "I already have that weapon" feeling. I don't know if I have a weapon I regret passing on right now. I didn't know about the 2nd time Red Death was on sale but that might be the only one I regret missing. I wasn't ready to buy G-horn so I don't feel guilt about it. I wasn't ready to buy Icebreaker (namely, not enough coins) so I don't feel guilt about it.

My buddy did this. Then when Icebreaker came he didn't have the coins. He farmed strikes like crazy and was two short as Xur left. Needless to say he is very excited for Icebreaker this week!

Same story here except I bought Voidfang instead of icebreaker the first time they were available. So yeah, that was a huge mistake. Tonight I can redeem myself. I hope you'll be able to soon. Good luck!
