So you all know about Comet.
So you all know that we may be getting two new weapon types, that only leaves to wonder about what those weapon types could be.
I mean, we've already got modern weappon types eg. Assault rifles, scout rifles etc. + we have fusion rifles, but what could these 2 new weapon types be?
I was thinking perhaps one would be a melee weapon such as swords, similar to the katanas from halo, what do you guys think? (yes yes energy swords, I call them katana m8 u wot)
Only rule of thread: back up your ideas with viable reasons!
EDIT: to clear up the misunderstanding, I am not the youtuber known as Mr Fruit, I was not even aware of that youtuber until someone asked me if I was him. Sorry guys, I'm just Mr Fruit.

5 RespuestasI think handguns will be one. The guards in the reef have them. Other than that I could see a submachine coming into the game or some type of energy weapon or a new heavy type would be awesome

Heavy laser like the Spartan laser, same principle as rocket launchers i.e. 5-8 rounds, charging required, elemental types.

Some type of energy bow or cross bow. Uses arc,solar, or void to shoot energy projectiles. High impact, low rate of fire, used as a special.

Probably 2 more really lame human type weapons that are outdated and relics of the future. Fusions rifles are the only futuristic weapons in the game. They will definitely add a new heavy weapon type though cuz there are only 2.

Heavy Weapon : Plasma Launcher aka Burst Cannon fires multiple hard light projectiles that scatter and tracks targets. Excellent hanling, low recoil, minimum fire rate. An energy sword much like the one used in SAO 2 would be cool.

Think of a Warthog with only three seats, one being the turret, and no wheels but a hover mode. The catch is that you have to use up your own ammo to firing the turret. That would balance out the issue that Bungie had with driving everywhere and shooting things with a vehicle.

Energy weapons. For a science fiction game Destiny is awfully short on usable scifi weaponry. Moar lasers!

Imo we need another heavy weapon type and special weapon type, those two have the smallest selection. For heavy weapon I'd say rail gun, like the fallen energy sniper rifles or something. For special, either a grenade launcher or some kind of melee weapon. Grenade launcher would probably work better though.

2 RespuestasI want a void subclass for hunter. It could be called "archer nemesis" Its like gunslinger but you get a bow and arrow. The bow and arrow would be purpleish transparent. You get 4 arrows It would have the drop off of a thrown blade when ads and a drop off of a grenade when fired from the hip. One shot kill.

3 RespuestasI dunno about what might happen, but I want a heavy sniper type, preferably a rail gun. Ammo limit 2-3 rounds, single shot loaded at a time. Would do a bit more damage than rocket launchers(it does have less ammo) but it would only be point damage(because obviously it's not explosive). Maybe give legendaries/exotics a penetration effect... ~TSSSEEWWW~ "Aaaannndd there goes a line of Thrall"
