The Golden Shank - the guaranteed Exotic Engram dropper
What if....
....there was a Golden Shank...with about 10 shields, and VTOLs as powerful as a Timebreaker engine...that happened to show up randomly at any given time of the day on any random planet..and that guaranteed an exotic engram drop if you got caught and destroyed it within a reasonable amount of time?

This sounds gaytarded, if you think the forums are annoying now, this Shit would destroy Any faith I have left in the community. There would literally be nothing done except everyone just camping the spawn locations of said shank. And then kids crying because others came in a nd stole their kill. I see nothing positive about any kind of "guaranteed" exotic

I could see a guaranteed legendary drop but not an exotic, and I'd use the times when all hell breaks loose (that time when that enemy forces move on each other thing comes up) make it so you need a set number of kills or something.

make it have an absurd amount of health, shields and movement speed and can 2 shot guardians and can nullify supers and if its not killed in 5min it self destructs,killing all guardians despawning, granting nothing. basically, give it godly loot drops but a Do or Die fight

So imagine a server full of 50 or 100 Guardians camping every space on patrol day and night. Then imagine the number of players on multiple servers. The number is millions. Do you really think it would be good for the game if millions of exotics were given out every day? Geez. Most of you can't see past your own greedy noses.

There are not enough exotics in this game to support such an idea. There would be full servers of players camping patrol all day long. I don't think it would work well.

I do want some cool, random, rewarding events to happen randomly, but not guaranteed exotics. Then the game would just be people hunting the golden shank on a wild goose chase.

Not really, but some random boss encounters would be fun. Like the Fallen Walker public event, but other things, like Ogres or Hydras drop in. Public Events need more *big* things to gang up on.

1 RespuestaI think one of the best things that could happen to this game would be random boss encounters. It would bring a touch of excitement to patrols if at any point a random event might occur that would pit you against some ridiculous boss that would reward you with epic gear. For example: you are patrolling Venus and all of the sudden a dark shadow appears over head and an Akamara lands and you have to battle it, no message letting everyone on the map know, no dark sky signaling an event, no timer that can be predicted by a website, no set spawn area just boom! Boss battle. That way you would have to either run or put a call out for reinforcements or hope to get lucky and have a few other guardians in the area.
