I don't think it's explained in the story or lore. Obviously it's a satelite meant for war... But just what the hell is it for and why are they dropping like flies!? Edit: to all those saying only War satellite in the comments, no sh*t. Yes, we have established its name. I think the lore I'm looking for is who put them in orbit, why, is it part of Rasputins network, why are they falling, why are we defending them. Stuff like that.
