Trading a limited amount of materials with friends....possibly, but the moment weapons and armour become available to all without putting in the time and effort for the random drops will completely rip the heart out of the game.
Become Legend...Become a level 32 Rogue Trader without playing a single story, bounty, strike or raid!?!

Some people would also fare better like the ones who find six exotic drops in a week or got several exotics in one day from Cryptarch during one of his crazy spells.

AGREED. People could end up just trading their trash or extra weapons for really good weapons which is basically like giving things away. Honestly, they would never allow for a trade of radiant or ascendant materials because it would make the game too easy. In the end there will never be trading. Makes no sense to put it in honestly. Would make all the hard work a lot of us have done to get our armor and guns pointless as everyone would have them making the grind pointless and thus destroying the entire foundation on what the game is based on. A clan vault with a time limit, I like. 30 days seems like it would be a good time limit so people don't just get everything but there would even need to be restrictions on that. Putting something in, in order to take something out. Etc...
