Its not all that great, i got it in my first exotic engram. They nerfed the amount of super regained from nova bombs

They have no need to nerf it because It isn't ideal in the crucible, so people won't be all over the boards crying about it.

They didn't nerf it. In the nightfall, when all those thralls come running out after each bomb I had a full one ready to go. It was non stop bombing. Use bad ju ju with it. The string of curses +OM=non stop bombs.

Yea it really is pointless in crucible, as a warlock it would be better to have hearth of praxic fire, or even void fang..I wear those if I go into that hell hole.

You get like half your super back

You get like half if you kill a few enemies. If you wipe out a bunch its an instant super reloaded.

You would have to get like 5 kills with 1 nova bomb in crucible to get near half of your super again. Ive gotten a triple down with a nova bomb and was like 1/4 of the super bar

You are correct, I think the whole crucible and PvE is the misunderstanding here.
