I just got revenant. its not actually a black shader. its grey.
so, you'd think its black with grey trim, but its actually grey with black trim.
when you look at the shader, the ring colour is the main body colour. the inner circle and outer section of the ring (to square) are the inner and outer trim colours.

I believe it's based on the material the shader changes. For example: Cloth: Background Under-Mesh: Ring Armor Plate: Center of Ring
