How about just make another weapon called the rose. Yhe entire backstory of the thorn would be useless if it's the called the rose because there is nothing to love about it. Hardest pvp mission, one of the worst pve missions. It's just a THORN in my side until I get it again.

I can see why people might not want to redo the Thorn bounty. I refuse to ever try it again unless I get a void primary! I agree it's tough, and I hated the PvP part, but I feel it was completely worth it now that I've had Thorn for a couple months or so. That said, I think losing Thorn to get The Rose makes sense in the same way you lose your v1 exotic when Xur upgrades it to a v2.
