Just wondering. Cause I always see get CoD name dropped when it comes to skill, balance and whatnot.
-
Anything takes more skill than to noob tube everyone.
-
2 RespuestasWell Cod has a bit more balance weapon wise because not everyone is running around with the same weapon.
-
2 RespuestasSniping and AR gunfights take WAY more skill in Destiny than they do in CoD. CoD is more about Internet. Yes, you need gunskill in CoD, but you need it even more in Destiny.
-
16 RespuestasThe only people using skill are the snipers, scout rifle users, and handcannon users. The rest require zero skill to use effectively. If you run around around with a Fusion or Shotgun thinking you have even 1% skill in a FPS you're only lying to yourself. All the skill in a FPS comes from being able to aim and utilizing the map properly. I can say all this because I am an AR player slowly adjusting to using a handcannon in PvP. There is a huge learning curve and you notice the difference right away.
-
Supers + melee + grenades = no skill
-
Fix lag, give us a more opened up and larger map and I'm in, untill then... Idk, it just seems like a mess
-
1 RespuestaIf they remove a lot of the OHK's and reduce a bit of the latency it has some really good potential for competive pvp.
-
I would bet it would be difficult for either to adjust to the game style.
-
3 RespuestasThere are a lot of games that are more skillful than destiny's PvP. The two things holding it back are the piss-poor latency (I've never seen so many kill trades in a game before destiny) and the quite frankly ridiculous amount of instant-win abilities and/or weapons available. When I engage an enemy, I don't feel like I'm being rewarded for effort, skill, or timing - rather, it comes down to who the hit detection decides to favor or who has an insta-win ability ready.
-
2 RespuestasDota 2 > other PvPs
-
Me It is way more skillful you actually have to get head shots and not a lucky spray
-
1 RespuestaIt just don't seem right a game like Destiny has a strong emphasis on head shots in PVP but then has the most cheese mechanics of any other game I've played. Why they didn't keep PVP guns and PVE guns separate seems so lazy. Trying to balance them just pisses off both sides. Fusion rifles, supers, grenades, invisibility, etc., is just ridiculous. It's like a game where who uses the cheapest shit the best wins. Add in the constant trade kills and delay kills and I find Destiny crucible to be the worst multiplayer experience I've ever played. I love doing raids and playing PVE with some really good people I've met in this awesome community but I can't stand PVP. Maybe if they added a barebones playlist and called it: "Hold The Cheese" I'd give it a try.
-
It really isn't. Supers are a crutch like Armor Abilities in reach. They have no place in PvP. At least have a playlist without them.
-
1 RespuestaHey man! You're the guy who was viciously flaming me on my post.
-
1 RespuestaI would say its about equal, if not less skillful as Destiny relies to heavily on an incredible amount of OKH non-sense.
-
Bf4 ftw. No seriously, it's just a different kind of thinking that goes into either/or. I wouldn't say one takes more skill than the other because they both have their ups and downs. The only similarity I would point out is true of any multiplayer game, you can be the best player in the world but if you're in a bad team there's nothing you can do about it.
-
3 RespuestasI like the destiny pvp more than cod pvp because it takes longer to down someone
-
Replace CoD with Halo and you got a deal
-
Who cares?
-
I don't but that's because I just kind of suck at destiny pvp and I really suck at cod pvp

7 RespuestasEditado por SPACECOWBOY 908: 12/25/2014 12:06:34 AMThis is, in my opinion, a list of games that require the most skill in the multiplayer or pvp area. (For shooters anyway). From most skill to least 1. Gears of War 2. Halo 3. Destiny (very close to halo) 4. CoD Granted I havent played battefield at all, and I hear that is one hell of a game to play multiplayer.
-
CoD is easy, I come to Destiny for a slightly unbalanced challenge.
-
my friend who is a very competitive pvp player across many games, said this part best: CoD top players and Destiny players prob have similar skills if not more. Destiny however allows u to showcase your skills longer due to taking longer to kill opponents
-
2 RespuestasCoD is a purely reflex game. The faster your reflexes, the more you win. Reflexes are 90% of your fights and that is not talent to me.
-
The last of us takes skill
-
The problem with this game is to much random crazy bullshit and bad MP design. It's also the reason why I know Bungie isn't the same Bungie from before They've managed to take information carried over from the Halo series and totally mess up the balance completely by doing the opposite of everything Halo did right
