Just wondering. Cause I always see get CoD name dropped when it comes to skill, balance and whatnot.
-
Well it is a less level battle field so yes more skill is required to be dominant.
-
As many flaws as Destiny has, I would say it is more skillful. The only thing that makes Destiny any worse is the lag. Assuming there is absolutely no lag in a match, Destiny is not only more fun, but probably takes more skill.
-
cod is run around shoot someone twice turn a corner knife, throw c4 get a triple kill now i got my kill streaks whoooo!!
-
COD is for kids. Its been stated so much. Its a spray and pray game bud. COD is not competitive ...
-
7 RespuestasI think Destiny does. In short terms, in order to do good in Destiny, you need headshots. As for Cod, it doesnt matter at all.
-
43 RespuestasIf you mean competetive cod as in teams with leagues that practice and strategize, then no, destiny does not compare and I challenge anyone who disagrees to go try your hand at competetive cod. Kids who dont like cod always shit talk cod for being easy and noob friendly, but at the top levels cod is an extremely difficult and strategic game that requires years of experience to understand beyond 'that thing is moving, shoot it. That flag isnt ours, take it' The only fps game that has and will always make cod look pathetic and easy is counterstrike, and anyone who cant appreciate counterstrike as the premier competitive fps doesnt know what theyre talking about.
-
Destiny takes skill. But it's not the same type of skill. Cod is more competitive. This is a fact! Thus making it harder because people are trying harder in general.
-
I wrecked on Ghosts, AW then stomped the Crucible.
-
If just destiny had clan wars and tournaments with rewards..

I don't even think cod is competitive it's whoever drop shots first
-
Cod isn't all that competitive.. I was never the best but me and my teammate for GB 2v2 SnD were good. I can't think of what our record was.. And I haven't played destiny PvP in awhile so I can't give you my opinion on it. :p before though it was quite terrible with its netcode.

Call of Duty is the most retarded shit I've ever played. Modern Warfare and World at War will always hold a special place in my heart as groundbreaking and original console first person shooters. But after that the game became corny 80s/90s action ripoffs. They are the video game equivalent of transformers 2 and 3. The game just has no soul.

16 RespuestasHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAA Crucible takes as much skill as pissing in the toilet.
-
2 RespuestasThere's no skill in destiny PVP, you can get good at it, but you won't be skilled. If I die on a 20 streak on CoD or battlefield then more fool my mistake. On destiny it's just die, die, die some more. Yay
-
2 RespuestasGears of War had the highest learning curve of any competitive shooter on console.
-
Honestly it DOES take more skill in crucible than CoD, why do I say this? Precision shots. In crucible if you cannot hit them in the head you will not be doing as much as someone who can. Damage difference between precision shots and regular shots is a difference of say 4 shots compared to 2 (in terms of thorn hits). Also knowing when to use specials helps more than people may believe. CoD has minimal extra support to help and is basically a failed battlefield attempt.
-
4 RespuestasDestiny is at the bottom when it comes to skill. Everything but 5 weapons can OSK you.
-
I'm not fond of the Crucible, and becoming even less fond of it when I die to a person I'm shooting dead on, but he comes out of with a scratch to his shields, because of lag. CoD is bad too with lag, but after the Crucible, I'm beginning to wonder which is worse.
-
Crucible is garbage.
-
Cod is shit! Battlefield all the way.
-
2 RespuestasAim assist, supers, hilariously unbalanced spawn points on control, damn near 50% of all offensive options can kill in one hit with minimal effort...I'm not remotely qualified to talk about CoD, but if it ISN'T more skill-based than Destiny, then all I have to say is "damn".

Editado por C0PENHAGEN: 12/25/2014 8:43:18 AMPvP VoG the first couple times takes more skill/brains than COD the first couple times. Yet you can poop on people in both after lots of playing time so who really cares. In the end every game becomes easy (less 'skill' being used and more muscle memory) if you play it enough. You get stuck in some awkward gap between mlg pro and competitive gamer.

3 Respuestas
Just wondering. Cause I always see get CoD name dropped when it comes to skill, balance and whatnot.
This is all relative. I haven't played CoD online since MW3, so grain of salt. CoD is not about skill. It's about being where your enemy is and killing them first. TTK is so short that once someone starts shooting at you, you are probably going to die. Because there are no weapon drops or anything like that, map control is basically irrelevant. See a red dot on your map? Go find the red dot and kill it. There is, in my experience, very little learning curve, in that there is little to learn. If you died, it's because something random or out of your control happened. There are very few "mistakes" to be made, because you were more likely just in the wrong place at the wrong time, or your reflexes just weren't fast enough. Destiny does require more tactical thinking than CoD, but again, this is all relative. Because everyone spawns with super weapons, there are no weapon drops to fight over. I've rarely seen brawls break out over the heavy drops, because teams just move to their heavy drop and wait there. There is tactical thinking involved in Control, but some of the maps are so horribly unbalanced that if you're on the wrong team, you start at a huge disadvantage and are probably going to lose (I'm looking at you Firebase Delphi/Blind Watch). Supers make things worse, because they're unpredictable instant kills with few available counters (note, I'm not complaining about Supers or calling them OP. Of course they're OP). Also, while TTK is still longer than CoD, you can still die very quickly, giving you little opportunity to fight back or escape if someone gets the drop on you. And all of this is without getting into whether or not certain weapons are OP (I actually don't think it's nearly as bad as some people make it out to be, but that's my opinion). Halo, for example, involves more skill than CoD or Destiny. TTK is greater, so you can still turn the tide of a firefight, even if someone gets the drop on you, or you can try to escape and lure them into a trap. Map control is key to a successful game, which includes sight lines and weapon drops.

Editado por Eikbyrnir: 12/25/2014 8:40:01 AMOnly thing I played was BO and BO2 for zombies. Just couldn't stay in the CoD scene, nothing against it I just enjoy Destiny's pvp. Don't know about which has more skill, just know which I like more. Got my son a PS4 for christmas with AW and his first matches he was doing well, had a 28/8 game about 3rd one in. He plays BO2 and MW3 so maybe that was helpful.

5 RespuestasDestiny is the least skilled multiplayer I have played in a long time. Free insta kills every minute? Ha
