You know what I'll call it what ever the -blam!- I want to. Yallerhorn sounds dumb as -blam!-. I don't care who says thats the correct pronunciation because 1. They are not god 2. Idgaf 3. Gal-er-horn sounds cooler

Go, you scrubbish scrubs, and listen to Tattered Banners and Bloody Flags by Amon Amarth, a band that makes its living off of Black Metal adaptations of Norse mythology. Towards the end of the song, the line "Heimdall grips the Gjallarhorn and sounds that dreaded note" is said, and it's pronounced, of course, like Yallarhorn. Because that's its correct pronunciation. That's just one of many examples I could cite. Yes, I am in fact the Scandinavian grammar gestapo.
-
It's clearly Ga-jal-a-horn
-
No jelly horn

4 RespuestasOp is right. The letter gj together pronounces a y from Scandinavia language's. But this is America and we never pronounce things correctly.
-
It's pronounced t-h-e s-h-i-t

I, on the other hand, am not a "word wizard"... If I'm in a raid where I have either half or the only one, I say its name every time I shoot it at a mob (not for crota's shield or atheon, that'd be annoying.). And I pronounce it like "gal-a-ga-horn" and I whisper it and draw out the last syllable, and then I laugh, lol
-
but when have you heard someone called it the yalladoodeehorn?
-
Mines called Dave
