I ditched destiny to be with my girl....
I didn't play destiny on Tuesday during reset because my wife and I decided to have dinner and hang out together.
For all of you who have someone in your life, take some time away from Destiny and enjoy their company. A game is a game and nothing more, family matters more.
Take a second and appreciate the one who supports (tries to) our addiction.
Edit: I did in fact raid her loot cave and successfully satisfied her heart of praxic fire.
Destiny or get laid... I think we can all agree on the obvious choice there.

6 RespuestasI couldn't agree more with this post. The first week Destiny launched my fiancé came over. I told her I was playing Xbox so she should just come inside when she got here. She told me she'll just wait outside because she knew if she came inside I wouldn't pay attention to her. I was in the middle of a strike so I finished it. Went outside and she had been sitting there for about 20 minutes. She wasn't upset at me, just kinda annoyed. From that point on I would never pick games over my woman ever again.

3 RespuestasYou just need to be considerate. Don't start a raid if you know the Wife/GF will be needy within the next hour or so. Explain to your Fireteam that they are important to you but the wife/GF is giving you the Stink Eye and you may have to bail. If it is almost time for dinner, don't start a Mission, stick to easy bounties. If your Wife, Kids are sleeping don't shout "Wizard on the Right, Blam Got Him". This could cause another case of Stink Eye from your significant other and cause you to wipe. (Happened to me twice last night) Don't shout at your kids with your mic on, unless its an emergency. Soothing words to the wife/GF are ok as long as it your fireteam buddies know that your "I love you Babe" is not directed at them. Its not rocket science, just show some consideration to the important people in your life, you may need them for a Raid in the near future.

I think videogames may be making any stress I feel ten times worse, so I've been ill tempered for the the last few months, and I lost girlfriend because of it. I havnt played anything in two weeks and I don't intend to. All I want is my girlfriend back.

16 RespuestasAs a married man. Happy wife equals happy life. Remember that boys. When the kids (mainly the 3 month old) are up, I don't play games. When the baby is sleeping usually spend time with the wife, she goes to bed then I game out :) Do I play as much as I'd like? No. Is it a big deal? Not at all, I'd much rather be a part of my boys life and not miss a thing, I've been mid raid and my kids waking up, I just disconnect. Cya. Priorities. Sad part is I've been playing before and heard parents telling their kids to wait, or ignoring them or hearing a baby cry and noones doing anything about it. Pisses me off, I usually mute these people as I can't stand to hear that.
