Stupid question: Do Iron Banner weapons only drop by playing Iron Banner? Is there a chance that Timur's Lash will drop in a strike or normal crucible match?

Iron Banner gear drops as a reward? I've reached level 5 in IB for two iron banners and have never witnessed anyone get IB gear via drop

I didn't do the first IB, on the second I did a rank 5 and a rank 4 so did play quite a bit. IB weapons do drop during the events. Got Timur's Lash and Jolder's Hammer as drops and saw those guns drop several times. Bought the Perun's Fire and the scout rifle, both of which I found to be kind of meh. The Lash is decent with its high impact, but the Hammer is a beast. Until the DLC, nothing came close to it for impact in machine guns. Also saw a single exotic drop in the last IB, so it was about as rare as normal crucible for that.
