I've said this once and I'm saying it again, hitting lvl 32 is going to take forever.
Levelling up Crota gear takes ~21 shards per piece. Assuming you get an exotic as a fourth piece, that's ~63 shards to hit lvl 32.
Crota only has three loot drops, one pretty much guaranteed chest and another chest that is hard to get. So for most of us, that means 3 drops and a chest. Compare that to the Vault that had 3 chests, and 4 drops. Even with that many drops and other ways to get ascendant mats, it still took a while to get the mats to hit 30. Crota has one less drop and one less chest with no supplemental way to get Radiant mats.
Best case you get 2 Radiant Shards from every drop and chest after getting three pieces of gear. That means 4 the first run and 10 every run after that. Meaning we won't get enough mats to hit 32 unless we run the Raid every week for six weeks getting only Radiant Shards. That is BEST CASE.
More likely, is that you get a mix of Shards and Energy along with not always getting the difficult chest and probably not beating Crota the first attempt or two. This pushes the realistic scenario of hitting 32 back to more like 10-12 weeks, or 3 months of raiding every week.
Not a fan. There need to be other ways to gain Radiant Materials.

No its only week one next week we will see lvl 32s and the week after a lot more

Editado por IcedCaesar81: 12/14/2014 9:13:47 PMIf it is that big of a pain in the ass... Just do what some people do. Make 3 characters same class and break down what you don't need and keep what you need. When rank 4 trade stuff in. Makes level 32 easy and probably could reduce it down. I got 14 shards on 3 of my toons. Just need crota on 2 of them. However, I have a 30 for each class and THANK GOD. I have a friend that does the method mentioned above as a way to farm it up. Afterwards, he just deletes and goes again. I also understand many do not have the luxury of time as he may. Just saying there are ways around this if you wish to take the time. No need to complain as getting to 32 should take a while. It took a while before we even saw a 30. Not sure how long but I imagine 2-3 weeks we will see 32s. EDIT: Most MMOS when a new raid does come out it can take a while... Just saying patience is a virtue and RNG can suck...

4 Respuestas...i think this is on purpose, so that people don't hit lvl 32 before Hard mode is released after that i think Bungie might add other ways of getting the Radiant materials. on a side note - you can always exchange Enegry for Shards and vice-versa in Crotas Bane (Eris)
-
Forever?? Or 3-4 weeks
-
Level 4 Eros allows trading of energy to shards, break down double up or unwanted raid weapons and convert, even at that still a mission
-
5 RespuestasNot that hard you just need to use all your character's.
-
hard mode is coming out in January. There's definitely going to be Lvl 31's running that and you'll have more opportunities to get your materials. you'll be able to dismantle any weapons and armor you have or don't want and you can trade energies for shards with eris
-
21 RespuestasGetting first chest on all three characters, I can guarantee 6 shards a week.
-
10 RespuestasIf the loot works the way it did for vog, level up any duplicate bits of raid gear you get to unlock the final upgrade node and then dismantle. Should get more shards from it :)
-
You can trade energy for shards at Eris at rep lvl 3-4?
-
When you break down new weapons and gear you should get radiant mats. Makes no sense to still get ascendant crap.
-
ya, having over 450 ascendant shards and 4 radiant shards now is insane. but on 3 characters u should be able to get one piece maxed per week. there should be like a 10 ascendant for 1 radiant trade
-
3 RespuestasPeople will hit 32 this coming week! What are you talking about
-
It's week one of the dlc release everyone relax. I haven't even beaten crota and I have 22 radiant materials. It's not a big deal. You'll have enough by week three and four.

Editado por spinelessspade: 12/14/2014 7:50:34 PMNot sure if someone else already said this but you don't need radiant materials to upgraded exotics, just an exotic shard Edit: I went back and looked at you're math and you're right, disregard this coment

2 RespuestasEditado por Messiah: 12/14/2014 1:30:10 PMThey have artificiality prolonged the game because they do not have a substantial amount of content to keep us busy. Bounties are great. Nice to level up separate factions. However, redeveloping weapons from the beginning is prolonging the game artifically. Redeveloping gear is understandable, however getting new gear to be able to raid is prolonging the game beyond necessary. Xur having specific weapons to upgrade every week prolongs the game. He could potentially never have an upgrade for gjallahorn. Glimmer cap prevents you from upgrading too many weapons at once. Certain instances in raids and strikes don't drop glimmer for example undying mind strike doesn't drop glimmer when all those vex majors rush you. All of these prevent you farming the glimmer. Raid has enemies are a higher level than you and are a higher level than you can currently reach anytime soon. Pair this with the only way to obtain radiant materials is the raid and less drops in this raid than the last even thought bungie said drops more often (another obvious lie) it's obvious the majority of decisions made in this game are simply down to elongate the time spent on the game, rather than give us a substantial amount of content to actually keep us busy.

2 RespuestasYou will see 32s soon. Its going to be easy for people that have 2 or 3 of the same class. If you made 3 different clases is going to take a while to reach 32 with all three. I'm one of those that have the 3 classes and i can't even get all of them to lv. 31 because i ran out of ascendant shards to level up my lv. 31 gear.
-
1 RespuestaBungie balanced the gear by making the pieces easier to obtain, but longer to actually max them out. By this point you should almost have 3 raid ready characters, collect all the shards and pool them together to max your main's gear first, it will definitely be done before 10-12 weeks.
-
6 RespuestasRemember you can convert radiant shards to energies and vice versa through Eris, plus you can dismantle any actual drops you get from the raid. Not to mention multiple characters.
-
I agree to an extent but you there'll be 32's popping within a month due to exchanging energies and breaking down dupes. Not too terribly bad.
-
19 RespuestasHow about some shards after the damn witch/shrieker check point!?
-
I did the full raid and got one of the chests this week. I ended with raid gloves, raid boots, and 11 shards. Not as bad as you'd think
-
3 RespuestasMaxed hunter gloves 6 shards left over and a further 36 radiant energy in my vault hate to break it to you ain't no neck for me I'm hitting 32 by Saturday at the latest gg bungie you tried to hold me back
-
Got 5 shards and 10+ energy
-
1 RespuestaI agree. Dailies that involve doing a Dark Below mission should grant Radiant material just like how they currently grant Ascendent materials. Also, with the new Exotic upgrading system and the new Raid gear, Ascendent Shards are losing their value. We should be able to exchange 5 Ascendent materials for one of their Radiant counterparts. Dismantling Dark Below armor of Hive/Eris origin should give you Radiant Shards/Energy. I got the gloves from Eris for doing the Urn quest and I dismantled them to see if I get get some Radiant Shards for my Crota gear. I, unfortunately, received Ascendent shards. I hope Bungie implements at least one of these things.
