I've said this once and I'm saying it again, hitting lvl 32 is going to take forever.
Levelling up Crota gear takes ~21 shards per piece. Assuming you get an exotic as a fourth piece, that's ~63 shards to hit lvl 32.
Crota only has three loot drops, one pretty much guaranteed chest and another chest that is hard to get. So for most of us, that means 3 drops and a chest. Compare that to the Vault that had 3 chests, and 4 drops. Even with that many drops and other ways to get ascendant mats, it still took a while to get the mats to hit 30. Crota has one less drop and one less chest with no supplemental way to get Radiant mats.
Best case you get 2 Radiant Shards from every drop and chest after getting three pieces of gear. That means 4 the first run and 10 every run after that. Meaning we won't get enough mats to hit 32 unless we run the Raid every week for six weeks getting only Radiant Shards. That is BEST CASE.
More likely, is that you get a mix of Shards and Energy along with not always getting the difficult chest and probably not beating Crota the first attempt or two. This pushes the realistic scenario of hitting 32 back to more like 10-12 weeks, or 3 months of raiding every week.
Not a fan. There need to be other ways to gain Radiant Materials.

2 RespuestasVirtually EVERYTHING in the post DLC changes was intended to bottleneck you. I think they are trying to slow down progression rather than just have more content. Likely cause now they can't simply make it out of thin air. But consider, they added this accommodation thing for every vanguard level. That's just their to prevent you from buying up guns. Before you could basically just get level 3 and buy 4 or 5 vanguard weapons without going up a level. Now you can basically only buy one gun per level because you need the accommodation for each gun. Before you could get your 200 marks per week and buy a gun and barely move the vanguard level up over several weeks. Not any more. It's tedium intended to keep you from just getting all you want in hopes that you'll just keep playing. Lots won't. The addicts will or the people that actually like grinding sort of games. I'm not a fan of this approach. Nor the whole making everything people worked to upgrade obsolete, for me, a month after i got the game (worse and 1 month after i nearly leveled all my raid and iron banner gear to 30). This slowing people down is also why Asc shards are so hard to come by unless you do the raid all the time. Slowing you down is why they halved the cryptarch rep you get for blue engrams, effectively DOUBLING the amount of engrams needed to go up a rank. Slowing you down is why they removed the engrams from some of the playlists. Like i said: not a fan. I think that's what they did because they don't have a great endgame. It's all intended to try to keep you playing. It's a stall. Curiously, they made exotics easier to level up. Go figure.

Its almost like Bungie doesn't want people smashing their way to 32 before the House of Wolves is released.
-
5 RespuestasShould be able to trade in old shards for the new mats, even something like 4/5 old for each new. Would mean people will keep running the VOG too to get the additional materials required.
-
3 months sounds about right, 1-2 months later will be the next dlc
-
1 RespuestaIt's not going to take that long and if it does than I welcome it, it shouldn't be easy to get to 32. Just remember all those times in the vog that everyone complained at getting shards, and now were complaining we can't get them enough.
-
Or just trade in BWI's for them....
-
i have ran 3 characters 5 times total.....2 SwordBreakers and 3 Boots and one Hunger of crota..But i do have over 50 Radiant Shards which is nice...:/
-
2 RespuestasDoes Crota's end raid gear turn into radiant shards if dismantled ?
-
I already have one piece fully upgraded, and am 3/4 of the way to getting the second as well. It won't take tons of time, just a few weeks.
-
4 RespuestasSo far we know about 2 chests, but who's to say there aren't more ?
-
2 RespuestasAfter not even 2 full weeks of raiding I have 32 shards and 17 energy. "3 months of raiding for 32"
-
I have gotten 47 shards so far from Crota's end. I have not broken any gear down either. I have beaten the raid 5 2/3 times so far so I missed out on the crota drop once last week. So for me I'll be there after next week just as long as I can manage 16 shards.
-
1 RespuestaYou can also buy shards and energy from eris right? More of a trade off shards for energy or vice versa
-
6 RespuestasI'm 13 shards from level 32. I'll hit 32 first thing on Tuesday.
-
It's probably intentional. Without grinding to slow us down we'd burn though all of the dlc content in a few days. We still do, but this way you have to replay the same stuff tons of times to get rewards. It's video game busy work.
-
They need to give us loot from the death singer and that would solve this problem. The hardest part of the raid not dropping any loot is ridiculous.
-
I hope you've never exploited any of CE's events. If you get your way, I'd like mine too. How about the rewards for completing events through exploitation be dissolved?

Editado por Fatal 0Efx: 12/16/2014 3:36:22 PMYeah... So today I see there are quite a few level 32s (I count 11), so clearly this was not as impossible as indicated. http://destinytracker.com/destiny/characters/top Even more so interesting, one of the top people I looked at doesn't even have 3 of the same characters. He has a 32 warlock, 30 titan, and 1 hunter. I'm assuming the hunter was an alt that got re-made several times during the quest to 32 on the one char. 3 months? Thats just perfect, when you upgraded all your Crota gear, there comes the new "expansion" and tranforms all that in shit... again. Will the circle be unbroken? Not if Bungie has anything to say.
-
You realise you're able to enjoy the game at level 31? Or indeed at level 21, and even at level 11. It's not a race. Just enjoy the game rather than treating it as some odious task where you must level to maximum before doing anything.
-
Editado por Brokenspade: 12/15/2014 3:04:58 AMThe whole point of this dlc is to bottleneck man. That's why they did a gear reset three months in. Its a delay tactic to keep you playing, while they try to created new stuff. I think because the devs didn't have enough content, they had to find ways to artificially slow down the power leveling set. Like making xur a requirement for bounties and exotic releveling. Or having you use mass amounts of glimmer to rebuy your exotics. I also think Croats end may have been a vanilla strike pulled and reworked into a raid; to avoid using to many programming resources... It kinda follows the "Three rooms" formula. 1)kill enemies to reach a... 2)"defeat the waves" area to reach a... 3) boss battle. Same with the missions almost all of which use existing areas just run in reverse direction
-
Radiant materials in the item icon on the app says; "Obtained from Raids, smaller amounts in Nightfall events, and other world sources." It's not hard... Especially when you can transfer energy to shards and vice versa.
-
The whole dlc upgrade system was a clusterfeck. Even as non raider all I do is buy more guns and armor to get back to where I was before the dlc because the strikes and dailies have levelled up too with no increase to rewards. Being level 31 fighting level 30 mobs is effectively the same as being 29 fighting 28 mobs. They may as well have just not bothered lol. They really need a fresh head in charge of this game.

1 RespuestaIf only eris class items would make public events drop radiant energy and shards
-
2 RespuestasSomeone already got to level 32. http://www.gameinformer.com/b/news/archive/2014/12/15/someone-has-already-hit-level-32-in-destiny.aspx
-
Radiant Materials the stupidest idea. I have 150 -blam!-ing ascendant shards wasting away in the vault.
