The whole point of the VoG was the Mythoclast.
Seeing as that Bungie made our old raid armor useless, and most of our raid weapons, one conclusion can be made. The whole point of the VoG was to have fun, a chance at exotics, and most of all the only weapon from the vog that will remain useful.
The Mythoclast. This weapon is the entire purpose of the VoG in the long term lifespan of Destiny.
Cherish yours, and hold it tightly.
Edit: People are misunderstanding. I am perfectly happy with the VoG, this post was supposed to be positive. I was trying to say that the VoG was worth it just for the Mythoclast which will remain useful and badass. Don't mourn your other weapons, you will get new, better ones.

I just feel like Bungie should have made it where we could upgrade all of our existing Raid gear somewhere down the line. If not the armor, way not the weapons. I have a Vex Mythoclast maxed out and I hold it dear, but I just wish my Vision of Confluence and Fatebringer would be weapons that could still be up to speed with the all newer weapons

People seem to forget that you can still use it to farm shards and exotics to use or break down. Not only that but at level 31 and up it will be a quick shard run.

I would say only things that are worth keeping is pratorian foil (for doing VoG) and vex coz its exotic... Nothing else has purpose but I guess some of the raid guys are good in pvp so... I might keeping voc...

Yep, I love mine. And I imagine it's still less than 10% of the Destiny population that actually owns one, as only 6.5% of people who have played Destiny have even completed hard raid (on PlayStation). Then you factor in the RNG, and the Mythoclast is actually a rare gun, despite the cheesing and CP-swapping from early VoG days. It wrecks shop inside the Moon.

25 RespuestasIt's awesome that new guys get to be able to do the new Raid, but it's such a slap in the face that the 100+ hours every single lvl 30 guy put in specifically on the raid, was pretty much a waste. Thousands of people on this site b1tched for months about how they never got that pair of boots or gauntlets.. The DLC drops and now literally all of that work was for nothing.. because it's not a bonus to have raid 1 gear, it's actually a hindrance

1 RespuestaFate bringer wrecked shop for me tonight and everyone else I was with were rocking Vision of confluence. Also the Hezen Vengance has a purpose as well. The raid gear is pointless, but all but corrective measure, praedyths, and Aetheons Epilogue all have purpose in this raid. Heck I even used found verdict a couple times.
