WTF! Now you want people to pay for what they have been playing since launch?
So now I have to rebuy parts of the game again? Screw you.
Let me clarify a few things as I was half asleep when I originally posted this.
1. I don't expect to have access to the new strike without buying it.
2. I do expect to be able to play all of the game that I paid for. and not be locked out a week at a time because of a bad decision on map rotation.
When you buy a map pack for cod you get access to a play list that includes old and new maps. If you don't buy it you stay in the old list. You don't get kicked to the curb for a week.

13 RespuestasStop complaining and just pay the money to buy it
-
1 RespuestaDude just buy it, or be happy with the $20-$30 dollars you saved. Don't cry to bungie for trying to pay there employees
-
Man, I just got back into playing destiny, man, it was awesome going back to it, bought the season pass too.
-
3 RespuestasIf you want to be included you have to pay. I wouldn't buy the DLC because Omnigul is annoying as hell.

1 Respuestaso I bought this car based on a lot of hype in the media. It was sort of okay but not quite what was promised, so, when the manfacturers announced fancy upgrades I decided to wait to see if they were worth the money before buying... when the upgrades were put on sale suddenly the steering wheel from my car vanished and I was told if I wanted to use it this week I would need to buy the upgrades, otherwise I would have to wait till next week..... this didnt happen because a car doesnt have dodgy terms and conditions attached to purchase that shaft consumers.... anyone want a second hand copy of this game? have a feeling ebay will be flooded with them soon.

-blam!- and I just got the invective bounty!
-
It's a weekly it wil be different next week
-
SHEESH. It's just this week.
-
7 Respuestasbruh, it's only locked every six weeks...calm down

Its sad that any company would think its a good idea to lock content people already pay for and force you to pay extra. It wouldn't be so bad if they had free content that would keep the game going... the raids i would pay for but the weekly strikes should be free becouse anyone can/should be able to play
-
1 RespuestaI bought the season pass, and I have to agree this is an insult to anyone who bought the game. Even if it's only for a week, that's a week Bungie is going to live to regret. It's bad business anyway you look at it.
-
It's going to cycle, so next week guys it will get better. Ha! They've been saying that since 2013. Every Tuesday since launch somebody somewhere is getting a big ugly surprise. Regardless of "getting better next week guys."

Which is why i stopped playing. No, $20 isnt a big deal for me, but i dont think I should pay to play the content that was there from the start. As OP said, ps exclusive arent in rotation for NF and weekly, so why are players that didnt buy the DLC pretty much being punished for not buying it. Im not asking to have access to these maps for free. But i dont think its fair that from now on, every time DLC strike comes into rotation, i wouldnt be able to do it.
-
2 RespuestasI see a lot of people defending the lock out and saying that it should have been obvious that the nightfall would feature the new strike. Their arguments neglect that the PS exclusive strikes should also be in rotation by that same logic, and that the daily should have also been a DLC story mission. Xur should also sell ps exclusive exotics. If it's a PS exclusive then Xbox gets locked. Inconsistency is rampant here.

Yeah it's like their charging you 15 bucks for 9 strange coins

12 RespuestasThis is a text I sent to a friend today who I run in a fire team everyday. Hello. So I am going to log in the game soon... and decide if I want to play. I been reading the forums. And I agree. The end game content is the weekly, nightfall, and raids. I don't consider strikes endgame. Now I can't do 2 of the 3 of the things that came with the game and those things have already started getting boring. So what's the point? Running with you is fun but the bullshit Bungie pulled makes me really not like it anymore. Now I know why the guy sold me his $80 collectors edition after only having it for a week. Lol. Second text: But I will play. Do the raid with you. Just not sure I like the direction the game is taking anymore. Where they reward those who shell out extra money on top of money already invested and punish those who don't keep lining their pockets. Third: Oh and fyi he sold it to me for half of what he paid. Lol. My feelings on all this: I am a vet. Exnavy. I loved what I did. But times been hard since I got out. With family, friends, and financial responsibilities I can not afford to buy the dlc at this time. I got this game and it was a great distraction temporarily. But I have played several MMOs at this point. And the base game everyone can enjoy. The leveling mechanics to hit the level cap of the base game is always there. However when expansions come out and level caps rise you have to pay to build upon that. BUT... and this is a BIG but.... no game developer, publisher, or any company I've known has before punished gamers for not buying the dlc. If starting game's end level is 30 you can still get there. The new content is 32 and the gear, story and leveling mechanics are in that content then you can't get there. But you can enjoy the base game with everything it has to offer. Everything intact. Not diluted or taken away. Even if only temporarily. This BS that Bungie released and called a game is sad. Read the Bungie "about". How they are about releasing "kick ass stories" and creating experiences for all to enjoy. What story? The 20 hours of game play at most? The few cut scenes? Great story. I supported and funneled a ton of money into Bungie over the years. I bought the Legendary Halo edition helm and all. Collectors guides, art books etc. Bought every game and even the anniversary edition. Huge fan. But seeing as how now a company.... a community of gamers have traded in their fanboy t-shirts for suits and ties. Who instead of congregating around a controller have now taken to congregating around the break room with coffee in hand talking about how they can earn themselves bonuses at our expense I am done. I love this game. And all those who do and do not have the new dlc I am sure loved this game. But all the forum talk is saying that it is unethical and thoroughly immoral for a company to punish their loyal supporters. I been playing for 3 weeks. Have a 28 Titan, 28 Warlock, and 27 Hunter. Finally start getting into end game content and to have part of it removed to cater to one side while punishing another is what has ruined my experience. Enjoy the dlc. I am happy for those running the raids and beating the content in 45 minutes. But for everyone else who looked forward to running the weekly to get 27 coins for Xur this weekend and to see what RNG will get them in nightfall I am sorry that Bungie has sold out and screwed those who gave them the sweet new life they enjoy. One we gladly gave them before but now its at our continued expense. This is just Expansion 1..... Two is coming and between sequels, game three, other dlc, exclusives and the such this $60, $80, and $130 game is shaping out to cost each gamer close to ten times the cost of any game before them. Bungie talks about wanting to take over the world. This is how they are doing it. Getting gamers hooked on there product and then building up there ultimate "dream game" with a 10 year plan.... a 10 year plan to milk each gamer for all they can until they get wise to the scam. Enjoy. At least with MMOs like WoW, DCUO, and the like they give it to you straight and provide real fleshed out, time put in Expansions. Not cut out bits of original content then slap a sticker tag on it and say "here if you want the rest of the game, this is the cost for just a piece". $20 for what this is verse $50 for add-ons that breath whole new life into something is clear to see what is and is not worth the coin.

This was methodical and deliberate planning on Bungie's part. They knew that a good majority of people weren't going to waste their money on the DLC. What better way to boost sales of that DLC than to force people into buying it? By cutting off access to base parts of the game that you now have to own the DLC to play, they have found a way to push sales of it. Yet another reason to tell Bungie to -blam!- off!!!!!
-
1 RespuestaOh and also the introduction of the DLC and all the shitty looking 'new' vangaurd and crucible and faction gear that now requires EVEN MORE GRINDING!!!!! Crucible, Faction, and Vangard rep (which take forever to rank up) now give comendations every rank you aquire (not retroactivly btw). Comendations are now REQUIRED for all purchased Crucible, Faction, and Vangard gear!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! No comendation - no gear. This game brings sucking to a all new level. Frak you Acti-Bungie
-
LOL! So if it's required to play the full game, and was there at original release, then there's no possible way it was apart of the core game at release and cut to be resold. I'm laughing so hard at the people who defended the DLC before it's release.
-
You will just miss 1 week of nightfall and weekly cause you didn't buy the dlc next week will surely value t'varc
-
Actually its worse than that. No weekly Heroic of Nightfall unless you have the expansion AND a fireteam with the expansion.
-
Ya burnt?
-
Yeah dude, I find this move odd. It is entirely possible to either create a different playlist for the DLC owners or to just lock out the new strike from the NF period. I mean, the exclusive PS strikes are not included in NF are they? Because if so, XB users would have been very vocal about it. It's probably a marketing move to get people to but the DLC. Kinda underhanded if so. Not well thought out.
-
This is exactly what I was explaining to all my friends. Im done playing this game good.
-
11 RespuestasOh no the people with three toons can't farm and share their crapload of strange coins this week? Sharing strange coins between three toons needs to be caned bungie!
-
4 RespuestasJust ruin the game for a week for me why don't you bungie, I couldn't give a crap about the nightfall weekly or New raid rewards as I'm not paying for such little content, but locking your existing fanbase will extremely hurt, I use nightfall mainly for the xp boost across everything with that gone I have no incentive to continue playing, as addictive as destiny is the more people that follow suit an boycott this dlc and behaviour from bungie an Activision the more chance we have of getting our money's worth in the longrun
