So I'll be missing the DLC tomorrow as I have surgery in the morning to remove a (benign) tumour from my spinal cord. It is my second surgery, the first excised 95% of it, but in the past 4 years it's grown back. It'll be a ten hour plus operation with a 10-15% of leaving me paralysed. Last time I was in rehab for a month learning to walk again.
So I decided to have one last crack at finishing the raid tonight on my only non level 30 character, a 29 hunter needing one raid piece for 30. I decided to help some others with one of my 30 characters and agreed to swap at the gatekeeper so I could have a chance at some loot. I was rewarded with a second vex and the helmet I needed when we took down Atheon. Unfortunately I won't have time to level up to 30 before morning and want to spend some time with my family anyway.
I think Destiny is a great game and I have played with some really cool people whilst raiding. It's certainly helped take my mind off the surgery. The community reminds me of the best days of Phantasy Star Online, years back. The guys at Bungie should be proud of what they have achieved. Have fun with the DLC, I hope I get to play again fairly soon with some of you!
******update - So the surgery went pretty much perfectly. All of the tumour was removed with only a slight loss of power in my legs. Thanks for all the messages of support! It means a lot!******

1 RespuestaEditado por Bu11et90: 12/9/2014 6:48:33 PMHope it goes well I recovered from one two years ago in my spine as well. Left a 5 inch scar and a area around my chest that doesn't feel anything due to a cut nerve. Just say a thrall attacked you and your crystal.

1 RespuestaHope it goes well brother and I wish a speedy recovery!

1 RespuestaGood luck on your surgery. On another note, I think Bungie should be ashamed of giving in to Activision's ploys to make money.
