Vote for your favourite Sniper Rifle!
Which sniper rifle do you like and why? Vote above. Explain below.
My first love in Destiny lies with Hand Cannons. Which is why I formed a clan called Thorny Guardians based on the Thorn Exotic.
But I will never forget how Snipers became my preferred Special weapon.
I remember it like it was yesterday, I was at the Loot Cave and there was a Level 27 (the highest level player I had ever seen) and he was wielding what looked like a hedge trimmer that shoots fireworks. I was intrigued!
This weapon was stunning! I loved everything about it. My curiosity peaked!
I began to use Sniper rifles and since then I haven't had any joy at all from Fusion Rifles and Shotguns, which the game insists on throwing at me. The only Shotgun I like is the Universal Remote. Its just a bit more sniper-y...
In PvE, Snipers rule the roost! Mobs get mopped and bosses get cheesed!
In PvP only the players who are skilled or unafraid use sniper rifles. Everybody can see when we are scoped in and if we don't get that headshot we will most likely die. Its high risk, high reward. Its a rush. We do it for the love of it. For the challenge. For the power.

Supremacy was my first legendary and since it had void damage I've brought it with me many times into the Vault of Glass. Praedyth's Revenge is a fair second (I like weapons with higher fire rate), but I can't get over the punch that the Supremacy brings. I'm currently leveling Patience and Time, but I'm not feeling it as much as the others; just finished leveling Broken Truth too, but with a 3-round clip I feel like reloads rule its experience. Still hunting for Icebreaker or Black Hammer.

I got the Longbow synthesis of blue engram and its amazing. I always use it in pvp and the roll of scopes and perks i got make it amazing for all ranges of maps. It also has firefly so yeah. Personally i feel that unless the only exotic you have is a secondary unless its PvE and icebreaker its not worth it. P&T is exotic so you cant use vex or last word so you are wasting a slot for somthing that could be way better.

When the game was still new an everyone of my friends was getting their first exotics and legendaries, I was left in the dust. Then I leveled up enough to do my first nightfall with minimal problems. Then, at the end, I got my first exotic, my true friend, my loyal companion, Ice Breaker. Been buds ever since

I only have Patience and Time from that list and love it. Cool looking and a very distinctive sound.

From what I've seen in crucible the time and patience is extremely powerful also i like the survivor/scavenger style

3 RespuestasHad all of those snipers besides nlb. My vote goes to preadyths. Its practically PnT that doesn't take an exotic slot. For a lot of those weapons on the list the rolls can be random, so they could be the best in the game, or could be complete garbage depending on the perks you get. The vanguard and crucible versions you used to buy aren't super special imo.

Ammo charge is great n all, but that gun sounds so damn good when you fire it. Not to mention your victim explodes into a giant solar inferno! However, this is not my favourite all time sniper rifle. My favourite rifle would be my old Hieracon- LR5. It had served me faithfully through the crucible and many strikes from level 16, all the way up to its retirement at level 24. It was replaced by an exotic sniper (icebreaker, the game refused to give me a legendary sniper, despite it being my most consistent weapon type. So I'm not ashamed to say i bought it from Xur) I still have my Hieracon, just can't bring myself to dismantle it. Passed it to my Warlock and she will pass it to my Titan After that it will live in my vault.

1 RespuestaIce breaker is a force to be reckoned with. It might not have the same punch as the newer weapons but I'll be giggling when I'm landing headshots while my fellow guardians are busy fumbling with their special ammo synthesis. Slow but steady, non stop.
