Treat VoG Legendary Weapons like Exotics

Yes. Let them remain relevant.

No. Let them fade into memory.

Proposal: Allow VoG raid weapons to go through similar resets to boost effectiveness. Discussion/poll on VoG armor:
http://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/82522986/0/0
Argument: I'm aware that this could potentially render the Crota raid drops obsolete, but read it through. They are improving the loot system to drop gear in the new raid more frequently. There will be a higher frequency of higher powered weapons dropped. This further makes the VoG weapons worthless and undesirable. The RNG system (that will remain in effect in the VoG) made getting certain top tier weapons almost impossible to get. Why make them vault ornaments? So why not let the VoG items be reset to take the new materials and upgrade. Now, those highly coveted weapons will remain valuable. You will still have to do the raid to get those materials to upgrade the VoG gear, so the path will be exactly the same! You just have a choice now. Run with the new Crota Handcannon, or run with Fatebringer. To keep the piece, the update would have to release when the hard mode raid unlocks next year as raid primaries won't drop until then. When house of wolves releases, the VoG weapons would no longer upgrade, but the Crota weapons would... Answer to whether or not I want to use the same weapons through the entire life of Destiny:
That's a good question. Honestly no, but for now, I believe there should be a sort of layering. Place the house of wolves content in the mix. By then there's another level cap increase (34), and Crotas gear would follow the same reset pattern and the VoG gear would drop off. This way the VoG remains relevant for a little longer and isn't just garbage loot. Why bother with the VoG weapons when new vendor weapons will be equal level? The raid weapons should be more appealing because they are harder to get and have more "potential". It's stepping stones. That's all. Making the first raids' gear completely worthless seems a bit much for a level cap increase of 2. It would go like this: A: So, we running the VoG today? B: Yep! I need some more ascendant material to level my new Vanguard Autorifle. A: Ok cool. *raid over - Fatebringer drops for B* B: Oh sweet I got a Fatebringer *shards it on the spot* A: Dude why'd you break that down? B: I needed the materials. Fatebringer only maxes at 300 attack power. My vendor weapon maxes higher than that and it's almost fully upgraded. That's my point.
Thoughts?
