Gotcha, It did say I got Ascendant Shards once or twice, but it probably is a bug.

Yeah I think it also might have something to do with dying.. The other day me, my brother, and my friend did the heroic. My brother and I were dead and didn't see the rewards and my friend who was alive did see them.
