I'm guessing they had to take it out with the tumblers coming in. If you are dancing and flipped around and landed upside down on some cliffside and jumped off, well who knows what glitches might happen. Perhaps the dev team was glitching into rocks and getting stuck

The game considered your character sitting, you didn't have a standing hit box. The tumbler was around before this patch so we'd have heard if these things by now.

And if you tried dancing on the tumbler you would sit down if you tried doing tricks/using boost.
