MIDA Multitool had its new sound with the big graphics upgrade a few weeks ago. It actually didn't change with this patch.
Trust me, that is my absolute favorite primary gun EVER... its sound is the same. It always had a different sound from other Scout Rifles, but it got even shorter, sharper and quieter in the graphics patch. It's the same now, and still awesome. I call it a tack shooter.

Love that MIDA. I call it the nail gun, but all the same. The knockback is stiff, on anything that isn't under the Angry Mod it hits them hard. I will have to test out how it handles heavy enemies today, Knights, Captains, Minotaurs & Centurions. Maybe even cause some trouble in front of the Vault, lol.

It takes 3-4 hits to stagger any yellowplate, from what I've seen... but the damn thing fires so fast it's not a problem. After the first stagger, it seems easier (maybe every 2-3 shots). The Kell's Guardsmen were running up to try and melee me to death last night, and I was making them dance like the string puppets of an epileptic puppeteer. Sheer hilarity.

Even better then the A1 or VoC?

Both those guns are probably better, especially the A.1. I just like the MIDA best. It's not the most powerful, just the coolest. Vision is really only powerful in Solar burn runs or against Wizards/Centurions IMO... if its element isn't required, A.1 beats it hands down AFAIC. A.1 is Scout bossmode :^P

Vision is better then the A1 for killing boss-level enemies where you may not have the time to aim, fire, reset. The A1 is better for killing mobs (I <3 firefly) and when you have time to reset and continue firing. I was really disappointed by the Mida's special. I thought that I would be able to run faster with it, but there seems to be no difference between using the Mida or using my A1 with the +2 agility modifier. I must be near the agility ceiling.
