12:10AM PST , I'm in San Diego ,CA, Xbox360 and I got online and I have friends logging on as well, Servers are back up so they shouldn't be long for you guys , hope my post helped , see you guys on my next post :)

For the people online right now don't post a rage comment instead , Post what system your on and what State you live in , This might help others in your area. :)
PLEASE : Not sure if this will help , Take a break, no pun intend, Go get a drink or some food watch a tv show , Try to take some stress off the severs so they can come online faster , I know microsoft will appreciate it .
Info about Denial-of-service attack or DDOS for short , in layman's teams it pretty much means , If you where try to eat 4 Big Mac's in 4 bites your 1: going to pass out or 2: going to die , its the same for servers but with data not big mac's

2 RespuestasIf this so called Lizard Squad legitimately brought down Xbox live with a DDOS attack, they are pathetic. So is the Xbox live IT department for not having the proper protocols in place for this problem. DDOS is not a new attack by any means. There are ways to thwart this method of attack. Google: ddos prevention. Then for this lizard squad to be labeled as hackers is disgusting. The people or person who writes the worm code that creates the bot nets used to make a ddos attack is a hacker / cracker not the person or people that use the bot net. Real hackers dont go around advertising themselves. Only scrub little kids who barely have the skills to perform a ddos attack do these sorts of things and brag about it...

That they are applying themselves to a perceived problem, like microsoft's ties to the nsa or even they were trying to better themselves by actually hacking microsoft and the affect on our end is all microsoft's doing, I wouldn't put it past them.

Portland, OR // 360 - down for hours and a huge red blob of "outage" on the map. The best part: Microsoft/Xbox/XBL not acknowledging what's happening in any way. I hope they realize they're essentially telling all of their paying customers to go -blam!- themselves.

And right after the update... I think I had early warning signs with being disconnected from live multiple times in a 5 minute intervals then not even able to get on live though probably just my router.
