DeeJ, A True Guardian Has Fallen
I found this Reddit post today, and it astonished me that a community could be so supportive of a fellow Guardian that has lost something very dear to them. Faith in Humanity restored.
I also read a story about Gearbox (Borderlands) making a NPC in honor of a departed fan, and couldn't help but think that this should also happen in Destiny.
Note: DeeJ, this is not a petition, merely a piece of feedback that would probably make a lot of the community and this redditor's days.
I for one will be wearing a black Dead Orbit Mark today and tomorrow in honor of his passing.
Thank you for your time, and a Titan FoH salute to you all.

Edit 1: I would like to say thank you for all of your support for this great guardian and his comrades. The suggestions and support have astounded me even more. This is truly a community I can be proud to say I'm a part of.
Edit 2: I didn't actually know Billy. I simply stumbled upon the reddit post, and was deeply moved as to the support he was getting from total strangers. I simply created this post to ensure he, and the many others who have passed that have loved this game, are not forgotten by the community.
Edit 3: Commenting on here is great, and you guys have helped keep this trending all day for the community to see, but commenting on the reddit post would also be nice. The man who originally posted that thread is the one who is truly suffering the most.
Edit 4: To everybody that comes to this thread and posts 'nobody cares': Please don't. He was important because he was part of a huge family known as the Bungie.net community, and part of the #GamerMasterRace. We all known many people die everyday, but not everyday do you get to know someone you never knew, and it affected a lot of us. So please, if you don't care, don't post.
Edit 5: To everyone saying 'why does he need a memorial and not everyone else?': The suggestions that are being posted and I suggested would be for [b]ALL[/b] fallen guardians.

I didn't really thing much of this until I looked up his profile.... Everything matches up perfectly. I got to see he was no different than any of us, just a fellow part time gamer. For all I know I may have danced with him at the tower. Rest in peace, Big Billy

Read the post and I felt it, as a titan I will don the dead orbit and FoH on anything that moves in his honor.

Even if I don't know him a fellow guardian has passed and deserves his respect. May big bill rest in piece and as a fellow titan I will make sure to wear a dead orbit class item in his remembrance As well as on all my other classes The dead orbit movement to morn the loss of a guardian sounds like a great idea

2 RespuestasDamn there are some insensitive a$$ people on these forums. OP thank you for posting the reddit link, fantastic story, absolutely love it. Also love the idea of a memorial in destiny, possibly in the tower? You could even walk up to it and a prompt would show up "hold x to revive" and flames or fireworks or something dope would shoot up.

The man gearbox represents as an npc is YOTESLAYA. Ask MaK on youtube about him or anyone who covers borderlands or CoD Zombies. He died in a car crash by a train.

A topic all too real in life. Loss of a true friend and valiant partner is always a hard event to overcome. I will gladly commemorate his accomplishments by being there for my comrades, just as he did his. Goodbye guardian you shall be missed.

1 RespuestaI am all down for them putting a statue in The Tower that states "In honor of fallen guardians". It was mentioned that as a thing for the player that we should wear Dead Orbit Class Items. Titan Hunter and Warlock all wearing them for the remainder of the week.
