I haven't gotten far enough to choose a faction, but from the lore I've read, I would say FWC. Here's why: Dead Orbit basically wants to take all the materials available and stuff em into a giant bug-out bag. Then when it hits the fan, DO will just blast off and ignore all the death going on around them, and just hoard everything for themselves. New Monarchy wants to rule the world. That's their grand scheme: control everything. Pretty dumb, honestly, because there won't be much left to control after the vex erase it, the cabal nuke it, the hive infect it, and the fallen loot whatever's left. But politics are awesome! [spoiler]Note the sarcasm.[/spoiler] And, finally, the FWC: all they want to do is build up our defenses, so that when the final strike hits, we'll be prepared. Yeah, the whole "war is the only constant" thing is negative, but it's better than a dictatorship or being a coward. *shrug* I'm going with FWC, they have their heads in the right place.
