Can you solo the Minotaur on hard raid?
I am talking about the one at Atheon in the future/green/right/Venus portal.
I got some flak today for not being able to do it as a 30. I have never been in a hard raid group where someone solos the Minotaur.
So I am wondering how many people can solo that beast and if anyone could take the time to teach how.
Edit: Thanks to everyone that gave me some tips. In case anyone is interested sounds like the best method is to sneak up and do the air pound, this way it hits him, and he doesn't teleport because you haven't got aggro yet. This can be ruined by anyone else shooting or throwing nades. Then take out any remaining goblins, then stay on ground and do RT to stun and RB to hit. Repeat until dead. Also it apparently takes some practice but by doing this you can stun lock it.
Also plenty of people saying that a team should help and that is how I have always done it, but doesn't hurt to learn better skills.

Your team mates (and you before you pick up the relic if you're quick on the uptake) should chuck grenades down at the minotaur, he should be easy to defeat when you get there and the others can be concentrating on the oracles.

3 RespuestasEvery good raid team I have ran with always shoots the shield off of him. Then you proceed. Everything just runs smoother.

Editado por Onabianco: 11/23/2014 3:41:32 AMYes, you "should" be able as a 30 to solo the Minotaur unless he start glitching / recovering health / taking no damage. Then, you're pretty much fked. That said, your team always at least throw their grenades at him and / or shoot him unless the first oracle spawns.

I ran with 3 30s and 3 29s this week and the strategy was..... 30s only get the relic. If on Venus the others should help with the praetorian we dpsed them until about 70% health then switched to oracles.

1 RespuestaYou shouldn't have to solo it the vault is about teamwork. In my raid group as soon as we are teleported non shield carries throw grenades down the stairs to weaken the adds, if a titan goes through they use there flashbang grenades it makes the life of the shield carrier so much easier. It is possible to kill it solo for any class but why risk it when there are others there who can help.

I usually will run striker class with the flash bang grenade, with armamentarium I can throw two, take the shields off, and blind it for the relic carrier. Seems to work out perfect.

I always air smashed and then just kept using the right trigger (or what ever the smash button is on playstation)

1 RespuestaNope, when I get in there i just hit that guy with 2 gjallahorns so everything runs smoothly. But as long as your teammates take out his shield at least, it can be done.

By that, I mean that my hunter (gunslinger) is my main character, and whenever I get teleported, I always use my golden gun on the minotaur as long as I'm not the one to take the relic. I have the symbiote helmet too, so I can kill it with my 4 golden gun shots. That counts as soloing it right?

With the relic as a 30? Yea. But he bugs so much we never leave it up to solo.

I always tell the other two guardians to give me one grenade each, while the add are focusing on them I sneak around pillar, kill goblins, then start smashing the prae. Without the goblins you shouldn't take Any damage if you stun lock the prae with r2 smash

I use my Ice Breaker to soften it up for the relic holder. I think you should shoot it at least until the shield is off to help the relic holder. Sure they could do it but why let it be a fair fight when it doesn't have to be?

That very praetorian is one reason why a lot of raid teams get wiped, even a lvl 30 will have a hard time killing it by himself with the relic, the other two that get teleported need to atleast throw their grenades at it or if you have a hunter great, get him to use gold gun on it.

as a level 30 myself. you should be able to solo any minotaur that stands in your way. with that said, the raid is about team work so there really shouldn't be a time where you have to solo anything except the gatekeepers. kill/grab and gtfo.

Shoot a maxed g-horn down there and the problem is solved.

Golden gun + corrective measure here as a level 29. Pretty much solo it before the relic guy even gets close.

I can solo both of them no problem at all with my 30 hunter on hard. The ghorn makes easy work of pretty much everything in the game, including the gatekeepers.

Yeah man. As a 30 it's not so hard. Before you pick up the relic; Go drop grenades/special/rockets quickly. Then go smash the -blam!- out of him with the relic. I've solo'd the Minotaur many times on hard, but it's risky and to be honest, your teammates should help out with supers/nades/rockets quickly too. Makes for an easy easy easyyyy oracle run :)

You could have the two people who teleport with you to throw down grenades to help and the strategy I do which works pretty well is jump and keep meleeing until you're in range of him and then do the overhead attack and then just use the rt attack on him. Works pretty well
