I dont think it is once a day for the public events. There has been multiple occasions where I get rewarded multiple times in the same planet. Plus you can get at least one reward from public events on each planet.

You get a mail delivery for the first event you did that day. Could be mote, coin or ascendant mats. You have the potential to get a mat at the completion of any event, but everyone knows how rngesus works.

Next time focus on how many asendant items u get I think its 3 a day but not sure.
