So I started up destiny normally (Xbox360) and nothing came up saying updates or that "installing destiny" thing with the picture of the tower and the orange loading circular bar. I need help. Please. Mayday Mayday!

Whats so good about destiny and what is so bad? I just wanna know

 Dear Activision, Bungie and fellow Guardians (Version II) We are players that firmly believe that destiny is the best idea to come in a long time. Unfortunately people are losing interest fast and we don’t want Destiny to be another game, that had potential. As such, we want to point out some major issues with the game and suggest solutions. We listened to supporters and haters alike, either way this is what many people keep asking for. Major issues and suggestions Add a fireteam finder. Make it easier for people to find other players. Not everyone wants or has time to go through bungie.net and other web pages or be part of a clan, in order to find people to play. Add a chat system. Not everyone has a mic. Let us also communicate either via terminals in the tower or via a “send message” option when targeting a player or via a classic chat channel. Fix your reward system. Reward people according to the effort a task requires, while still catering for casual gamers. Tier your gear better. Most weapons and armor below level 20 are unimportant, no incentive to stick with your gear. Maybe introduce an upgrade system to level up the gear themselves, beside their skills. Add customization to gear and more shaders. The more people complete the VoG the more we all look alike. Help clan management. Introduce an in-game clan system, for a clan based game it should have been in there by design. Clarify if strikes are to be played only as a fireteam or not. Better yet, add an option to play all strikes solo. Allow us to kick players from the fireteam, that are inactive during a strike. Clarify what is the role of Exotics. Although they are not that much different than legendary items, besides how they look, you enforce a one exotic item limit. We understand the light they provide as Armour. But the weapons? In exotic bounties give other options to finish a bounty, for those that don’t want to play Crucible. Make each class more unique. You clearly have scratched the surface of the stereotypic Tank, Support, DPS, system, use it, refine it and innovate, many FPS games have done so. Change the cross functionality. Allow weapon switching via the cross, while maintaining the penalty of doing so. Fix the glitches (loot caves, VoG, double bounties, etc.). It may be the easy way for people with no time and patience to play, but that wouldn’t be the case if the reward and bounties system was just and balanced. Fix the Cryptarch and Eva Levante. No excuse that they are still not fully functional NPCs after all this time. Grimoires should be in the game and easier to access. Web sites and smartphones are not that functional, especially if someone does not have a Computer near the console or owns a smartphone. Let us use the Map everywhere and not only when we are in orbit. Add quest trackers to all bounties/missions. They are available for some, why not all? Each player’s level should be visible at a glance in the roster. Allow us to turn on/off ghost’s light at will. Skippable cut-scenes after their first playback. Basic functionality in almost all games. You should consider implementing rested XP bonus for casual gamers. Allow us to patrol a planet with a full (six members) fireteam of friends.. Add variety to daily/weekly activities. Read the forums listen to your community. Add an option to every story mission to be played in nightfall mode. Increase the Marks cap. Add player trading. Items that you don’t want to be traded make them Untradable or whatever name you chose to give. Unlock the Level 26 and Level 28 strike playlists before the expansions or give the expansion for free. Hint: The Witcher 3 gives all 16 of them for free. No excuse here. Add ways to procure materials. Doing Spinmetal runs all the time isn’t that fun. Add them as rewards in other activities. Add more ways to gain faction. Make faction gear unique to faction vendors and not possible to be acquired via drops. This might shrink the loot pool but it will give meaning to levelling each faction up. Even out PVE and PVP factions. One vs. Four? Not fair. Differentiate PVE from PVP gear. Allow as to play each Crucible mode against only friends. Just disable, faction rewards, stats and bounty tracking, when we do so. Clarify weapon stats. Many people still get confused about how the weapon stats work when comparing different weapons. Maybe add the numerical values of each stat so people can understand them better. READ THE FORUMS. Notes and questions. What kind of game is Destiny? Officially. Is Destiny PVP or PVE focused? What will be the focus moving forward? Is Destiny designed only for casual gamers, hardcore or both? How do you plan to keep players coming back to Destiny? Where did the story go? Address the rumours/facts that you cut out half of the game at the last minute. People want to know. Announcing the development of a sequel, this early, is not helping the current game. Ask for more time if you can not manage. Don’t act like everything is ok. Last but not least. Gamers shouldn’t be punished by corporate games. Show some love to the Xbox gamers. Paying the same money for half the game and half the expansion is not fair by any standard. Conclusion We aren’t new to gaming, we understand games need time to mature, but this is not the case with Destiny. Ten year plans, epic world, multiple games, big budget, marketing tricks and hype, we get all that. But, when you clearly have time to redesign the “loot cave” with graphics and sound, but no time to fix more pressing issues with the game. we can’t help but raise our voice. Also "it’s best to save promises for the moment when you know you can keep them”. Seriously? You should have thought of that during your official announcements and developer diaries. As a result, I, my clan ROA and most of the fellow guardians below, have decided to stop playing Destiny until most issues are fixed, addressed and our questions answered. Can anyone tell me how you get past checkpoint after you've persuaded the bar tender to let you upstairs. Obviously you use the broom you found in the cupboard to prop the window but what I cant figure is when to time phone call to make the landlady open the safe. I raise the alarm every time. So frustrating... Bungie have made this game too hard
