You know who you are. We're the ones who teleport to Venus, launch 2 void rockets down the stairs, throw a grenade for kicks. Only to turn around and see 2 lvl 28, 29 scrubs standing there screaming like a 6 year old who pissed his pants "I'm not touching the relic". So we pick it up only to be 10 seconds behind on the oracles.
But somehow we get it done, only to comeback through to a mine field on the other side.
So let's all crack open our favorite beverage, and raise our glass to the victories we've provided, at take this Sunday November the 9th as holiday.

2 RespuestasEditado por NinoMH: 11/10/2014 6:09:07 AMIt's ny favorite part of the raid. Relic holding. Nothing like going sky high in Venus Past (the wall at the right of the stairs serves as a perfect platform to get a nice jump) and then smashing down killing all 3 at once. Or being sneaky in Venus Future, while my buddies take out the Minotaur shield and then pounding on him. It really is the best job in the Atheon encounter :)

Do not throw grenades on mars. Hob will teleport behind you sometimes. Just shoot the 1 hob so he cowers like a bitch while the relic holder pounces the two closest to each other. Works everytime..... Unless they all shoot you at one time. No one can survive those 3 hits at once
-
I love using the relic, I try to fight for it if I can, the sword of crota is badass too.

Editado por Guise-42: 11/10/2014 8:31:43 AMThe relic holder has every right to complain about BS. I completely understand, and will support you!

Editado por loonigus: 11/10/2014 7:56:34 AMI have to admit that my Relic holding skills need some more training, but then again I rather blast two shots with my golden gun down to help since it is a huge help especially on Mars and taking down Minotaurs shield. Then thank to the herpes helm I still have two shots left for oneshoting two Oracles.

3 RespuestasEditado por Tacobravo420: 11/10/2014 7:06:30 AMMy 1st raid took 2 hours of multiple multiple multiple deaths upon deaths. Gradually learning that relic is a powerful weapon and fairly easy to use. You just have to be fast and sneaky when killing multiple enemies when you get teleported, try not to die. Then come out of the portal go to the middle and sit/stand while doing cleanse while everyone raises hell to atheons chest lol.

5 RespuestasEditado por Aramintai: 11/10/2014 7:27:49 AMKilling oracles in time, taking down minotaur's shield in the green portal, clearing arena from supplicants and unloading everything you've got onto Atheon is actually a much harder job than killing adds with a relic. The only problem is that if you're not level 30 on hard mode raid when you take the relic, you're most likely gonna get bitch slapped by the adds, which basically means a wipe for the whole party. That's why it was decided by my buddies that only level 30s take the shield, it's safer that way.

1 RespuestaI like holding the relic but I hate it when teammates start throwing grenades in Mars. I could take them down in 1 hit but when that happens, I'm always dead or close to dying.
-
I'm still excited every time a teleport happens because I might get to hold the relic again ;-; I miss old teleports where I could grab the relic 100% of the time and feel like a bad ass smashing minotaur skulls.
-
There's a good vid out there of a guy that knows right where the spawn points of everything is, he makes quick meat of them as fast as he can melee.
-
There's a lot of power in that relic, as well as risk. Those who opt out of utilizing it without thought cannot handle the responsibility that comes with it.
-
3 RespuestasI love being the relic holder, dat power, dat responsibility. Oh and a shout out to the ones who throw their grenades down the steps to give those relic holders that little extra help.
-
Yes sir I have had that exact scenario lol
-
Thanks bud<3

Editado por H3MR0lD RAGE: 11/10/2014 5:54:58 AMHaven't had that problem lately, usually it's a fight to see who picked it up first while the others bitch about having to kill oracles. Picking up the relic jet packing sky high and ground smashing whatever vex fool is in the way is too good to pass up. Cheers!

Editado por Crusty Vato: 11/10/2014 5:49:15 AMIt is awesome to have the responsibility of getting it and getting out in a timely fashion. My last run, I was one of the main relic holders because I was one of the few who had experience with it. We wiped a few times and by about the forth or fifth time I had it completely down. Tons of fun!
-
Well, I don't have my favorite beverage handy but I've got some Dos Equis. Cheers

Amen brother. A good relic holder is THE most important member of the team, in my opinion. I don't touch the relic. I kill the shit out of oracles and supplicants
-
4 RespuestasProud Relic handler + proud hunter. I never need help killing the vex when we get teleported. I solo Venus on gatekeeper. Glad I learned the real way and not the "cheese" way. I go into first portal and shoot 2 Gjallarhorn rockets and hop out. 2 is enough to kill him. I hop over to 2nd portal (Venus) and solo that shit.
-
I love holding the relic and I appreciate the little help the people I'm teleported with shoot rockets or grenades, it makes runs easier
-
If I get the relic I give my team a shield the entire time instead of firing at Atheon. And whne I dont, and I don't get teleported, I spam my super to scare off the supplicants. Works perfectly.
-
I have a love/hate relationship with the relic. I always take it when I get teleported, but only because I don't trust anyone else to do it. But with a maxed icebreaker or Gallajorn, I do more damage than the majority of the team by myself. It's a double edged sword.
-
I enjoy doing every single role, but my pet peeves as a relic holder is to have that portal open... EVERYTIME!!! I will quit that raid in a heartbeat... Lol the relic is fun to use though... XD I don't know why people have a hard time using it...
-
after using the relic more the last couple times.... I dig it.
-
I use to depise the role of the relic holder. I thought of it as just a burden and whenever i head into the raid, I would always hope silently that i wouldnt be picked for relic duty. However things soon change when i ended up on a team where NO ONE wanted to use the relic. So reluctantly i decided to give it a shot, since then my world change. I started looking up on vids showing relic users, i started looking back on my past raid plays to view past mistakes and mishaps. I STARTED to hope that atheon sends me into the timestream for i was confident that if i handled the relic, i could give my teammates something less to worry about and focus on their roles. I btch alot abt why bungie made the new change to atheon's timestream at first but now i salute them for it. Good job bungie! Relic duty is so fun now, being a deciding factor in the team can at times put you under pressure but at the same time it gives you a sense of responsibility. Nothing beats being send through the timestream repeatly for 4 cycles and ending atheon in one sweet go.

I love the relic. It's a lot of fun to use
