A salute to all relic holding Hero's.
You know who you are. We're the ones who teleport to Venus, launch 2 void rockets down the stairs, throw a grenade for kicks. Only to turn around and see 2 lvl 28, 29 scrubs standing there screaming like a 6 year old who pissed his pants "I'm not touching the relic". So we pick it up only to be 10 seconds behind on the oracles.
But somehow we get it done, only to comeback through to a mine field on the other side.
So let's all crack open our favorite beverage, and raise our glass to the victories we've provided, at take this Sunday November the 9th as holiday.

This happened last week to me. On hard mode and atheon was down to less than a quarter health. 3 got teleported and 10 seconds later everyone on portal side got killed. Turns out none of them went for the relic and they got slaughtered by the hobgoblins. Safe to say I quit and went to sleep after that. Will stick to hard raiding with friends now I think.

i had done this numerous times, we get teleport nobody want to even try to learn the mechanics of the relic, so what i have to do by that time is kill yhe enemies in the bottom, go cleanse and also drop the relic and help to kill oracles.

1 RespuestaI love using my relic super to take out an oracle when we are behind. I love it even more when the others in the portal all be like: 'Whoa, what the -blam!- was that?' Makes me warm n fuzzy inside. Relic holding is my favorite part of the raid :

People should know what to do before going in the raid. But yeah I gues this is the case when you play with randoms, that's another reason I DO NOT want LFR, but anyway I always go with my clan so I'm not really 'affected'. If they do implant a LFR tool however then the whole forum will be spammed by people getting annoyed of other people not knowing what to do.

Haha more people need to know how to use the relic. Did the normal raid with my 3rd character and 4 of them didn't know how to use it. I've been running in the hard raid for a while with other 2 characters, and forgot people don't know this stuff haha.

Thank you good sir! I love being my fireteams chief relic holder.. We have a four place ranking system (that way someone will pick it up everytime) Running the relic is fun - destroy hobs on (Mars, Venus past, red, desert, left) in one hit. Destroy one goblin n Minos shield in first hit, take out goblin n maybe mino (or half) hit 2, finish off mino. Run back to top cleanse, walk to bottom of stairs cleanse, get super, take out 1 oracle, cleanse, leave portal jump to middle Perma cleanse, aim sights at atheon to check his health, yell at the daft idiot who failed to realise we were jumping to the middle who is now blind to just f'in jump to the relic. Yell at the hunter to g gun sups - tell team 3s times vengeance to either jump or occasionally the Titan to bubble. Repeat process. If on outside grenade the f out of sups with an active sun singer super, open portal, jump a lot to avoid sups detonating (check how portal is going - I trust no one else with relic) - when they say they're on the way out quickly fire rockets at atheon before heading to safety of cleanse. Shoot at atheon n then pray I'm returned to my secret lover the relic!

I absolutely LOVE the relic. Its just so badass. You get to blast a big cluster of energy towards the Templar, and Atheon. Whenever I get teleported to Venus or Mars I pick it up, jump into the air, and spam the right bumper to keep me in the air. <3

Since I'm a 29, I can dominate on normal with the relic. On hard, different story. That jump from 29 to 30 is huge.

We kept wiping (about 10 times) without making it through the portals one time. The first time I grabbed the relic I failed miserably. After the third time I grabbed it I was killing the minotaur and hobs on Venus at least 80% of the time. I became the chief relic holder. On the time we cleared it I had been teleported and grabbed the relic every time except for the last. Where someone else had to use it and we were all dead by the time our rewards from defeating Atheon rolled in. Tl ;Dr: practice your relic skills guardians!

I did the Vault on Saturday, got teleported 5 out of the 6 times we got teleported, and held the Relic every time. Imma done my mama proud! *sniff*

Nothing is more manly than being the relic carrier.....standing in the middle of the vault with the bubble up and a whole raid team round you....giving a big Fehf You....to Atheon.

Editado por WPS x Murdah x: 11/10/2014 9:00:44 AMLove the relic. Made a group of kids I think they were somewhat new to the raid freak out when we were doing gatekeepers we got both shields out but everyone died. I juggled both the shields to get the atheon checkpoint for them.

Editado por Dave---G-: 11/10/2014 9:01:22 AMThis week I did the vault twice for the first time ever as I have 2 level 28 characters, first time I avoided the relics on advice from an experienced raider in my team, second run through I grabbed it because I don't like to rely on others without being able to do things my self, first time I died next 2 attempts I made it out but didn't realise I could fire a missile with it, next time I pressed triangle and dropped the damn thing then I finally got to grips with it and I used it in the final run the one that we finisher on. The moral is people are just scared of the responsibility but if you have a good team with you who arnt bothered about you dying and trying again to help build a all round better team of lads who can do everything then there's no reason not to try. But if you get a pushy sod who just wants to finish as quick as possible and pushes for only experienced relic holders to grab it you will never get to try and who knows you may be a legend with the relic.

lol....i carry all the time on atheon....i can honestly say i have single handedly been the difference between a kill and a wipe with multiple groups i have ran with. the good shit is when you DO find a group that everyone is doing their part on....had one the other day and it was so well functioning we all 6 decided to do it every week... -§mort§-

Nothing like going sky high in Venus Past (the wall at the right of the stairs serves as a perfect platform to get a nice jump) and then smashing down killing all 3 at once. Or being sneaky in Venus Future, while my buddies take out the Minotaur shield and then pounding on him. It really is the best job in the Atheon encounter :)
