I want some kind of official opinion on this kind of practice. I am currently doing the exotic bounty for Bad Juju on the off chance that when it is buffed it becomes a good gun. So of course I have been doing the complete 25 strikes part of it.
I have done 7 in a row so far and 6 of those 7 some guy runs past every single enemy that he can and waits at the next checkpoint while the other guy and me are stuck killing everything along the way. I have no problem killing everything. At this point the level 24 adds are like tissue paper. What gets me is the fact that the idiots running ahead are not actually taking part in the strike that they themselves queued for. They are simply sprinting past everything and avoiding any real gameplay unless they have no choice.
Why should other people or myself have to carry these guys through the strike simply because they are too lazy and impatient to actually do their part? You have stated on many occasions that thi sis meant to be a team game and yet these people are in no way taking part in the team strike unless they positively have to. One of the guys that ran ahead finished with 8 kills. Meanwhile I finished with over 100 kills. Then on the boss fight the guy simply went afk and made the random I was with and myself finish off Phogoth on our own. Once again its not a question of difficulty its a question of principle. I queue for strikes because I enjoy playing the game as well as earning all the rewards that come along with it. I don't want to have to carry people who don't even participate in the strike itself.
Why should this guy get all of the marks, rep, and rewards at the end when he in no way took part in the strike itself?
You guys HAVE to know that this is going on. Either make it to where people can be kicked or make it to where you have to wipe the entire strike before it can be completed.
I am done helping the people that do this. I will either leave and let them finish it themselves or do my best to make sure the strike takes as long as possible. I am not gonna go out of my way to avoid playing the game that I paid for. I get running past low level adds that are in transition areas, but running past enemies that are leveled to the strike itself is just lazy.

You are basicly an idler my friend, killing patrol trash is what I'm assuming your doing..... They don't need to be killed, the darkness zones are the strike, if u want to kill trash go do that on patrol mode, you just kill trash to get a higher kill count and think your actually a decent player. The fact is your killing pointless trash and not helping by doing that mate. You are annoyed at people killing only darkness zone enemies (the ones that count) and the other people are annoyed with you for killing pointless patrol trash and tagging along behind...way behind, it's a vicious circle lol
-
And if they do add an option to kick players you'll be on here complaining about how you keep getting right to the end of the strike then get kicked and don't get your rewards. Terrible idea.
-
So much rage in these forums about everything. I think the OP'S point is, why do people queue for strikes on a multiplayer game and then do nothing. I understand both sides, but when someone doesn't shoot their gun at all, which I've had happen, is considered getting carried. People that run thru things to a point, but then actually fight mob, that's fine, but not what the OP is talking about.

I play to kill, no to run, runnig for pansies with no taste. They wanna run and sit, ill just leave them to it an kill on the way. Its funny when they rush, much like the nexus run they will stay and kill the purple eyeballs, but when the door opens rush past everything else and end up dying, when all are in the darkesszone there is no wipe so i let them simmer then they get pissed cause they died. No worries to me.

1 RespuestaThe quicker strikes are over the better in my opinion. I just did that part of the Juju bounty and wanted it done ASAP. I say skip ahead. Just because you want to take a casual stroll through it doesn't mean you're doing it right. Get over yourself. You're not carrying anyone. You're slowing us down.
-
he's a runner. I played with him the other night and he just skipped past all the badies and left us to fend for ourselves. was not cool Deej, not cool at all.

2 RespuestasThere is no way you're doing the bad juju bounty! You have to complete 25 strikes and give xur the bounty he is only here for 2 days a week and you're trying to kill everything along the way? Gtfoh!

Editado por WkdSounds: 11/7/2014 8:39:06 PMSorry. But I'm one of those people. Half of the zones are not nessesery to stop and kill EVERY SINGLE THING!!! You got to think of it like this... If it's not at the "3 stage zone" then it doesn't need killed it's not part of the mission. Example... Mars the section between setting your ghost and going threw tunnels to the main complex is not nessesery the part afterwards is. Where you have to kill 3 guards. That section in the complex is part of the every day standard patrol and is just a zone to go threw to hit your objective. Am not sanding around wasting my fu ckin time killing every single major thing that is not needed spending 30 minutes on a mission that can be completed in less than 15. Edit.. Especially when I am getting fu ck all for it. If there was a gaurantees drop of legendary or exotics then count me in, but when strikes constantly give you green and blue which are worthless then sorry but am going past it.!

1 RespuestaWho gives a -blam!-? Jesus Christ it's a game. If they want to play that way let them play that way. They didn't pay $60-150 to play YOUR way. Take the tampon out of your vag and quit being such a bitch about a trivial matter.

5 Respuestasafter u have leveled one character, its about being efficient when soing the other two.

2 RespuestasI only kill the mobs that are required to get to the boss. The drops and exp/marks at end screen are why i play the strike playlists. When i play the dailys, weeklys and nightfalls i kill everything i see, so bungie should add matchmaking to them to cater to everyones play style. I would like to see a level 28 mission playlist similar to the strike playlist. Random missions are queued for and undertaken for a greater chance of better loot and rep.

5 RespuestasIt's called a speed run. You gain more xp and rewards from avoiding those enemies and finishing more strikes in a given time period than killing everything. It's a simple matter of efficiency. Taking 10min to speed run a strike or takings 15-20 to do same strike but killing 50 more low level enemies that barely give you any xp. If you're trying to do the bad juju bounty I would suggest you speed run and get it over with quicker.

I never ran ahead in strikes until I had to do 25 strikes in a row for Toland's Legacy. After a while it becomes about efficiency. The point is you don't have to kill everything along the way; know what you have to fight and skip the rest. Forcing a wipe because you miss a few MOBS seems a bit silly. I'm more irritated by the AFK players that sit at the entrance and wait for the credit and maybe random reward.
-
Taking forever to do the strike is lazy. You can shave off 15 min skipping half the damn adds. It's about getting to the end rewards. Not killing everything there.
-
I run ahead but i stop and fight the enemy from other side or start picking off the next group seems when we are all 28 plus you find your stealing someone kill or fireing together at the same low level enemy

7 Respuestas
Why should other people or myself have to carry these guys through the strike simply because they are too lazy and impatient to actually do their part?
Why should I have to carry the team and kill the boss by myself while the other 2 waste time killing mobs? I'm also doing the juju bounty and want those strikes done as fast as possible. I ran past everything on a Nexus tiger strike earlier, and I shit you not, Sekrion was at 1/4 health by the time the 2nd teammate jumped down, and the 3rd guy didn't even get here after the 30 mission complete countdown. If tiger strikes had a solo option so I could have enemies with less health and no teammates who waste time, I would gladly solo it.

3 RespuestasOption 1: Avoid low leveled mobs that don't matter and add hardly any XP at your level. Get a bunch of XP from finishing required mobs in strike and rewards at the end. Takes 8 mins. Option 2: Kill every low leveled mob you see, earning you a tiny fraction of XP on top of what you'd get from only the required mobs. Takes 25 mins. Its not like you can't start up another strike as soon as you finish rushing through one. You're constantly fighting stronger mobs that actually matter, instead of wasting time on things that give you next to nothing XP.
-
1 RespuestaFYI do weekly on level 22 and get double credit, and keep up your slowing the team down lol
-
6 RespuestasI look at it different. I view it as those guys are carrying me. You get to a point where your running through it to finish it not kill the lvl 8 adds that don't matter. My time is valuable and this late in the game I'm typically running a strike or w/e to finish it and move on. So do us all a favor and fall in line and survive and get to the points that matter wreak shit and finish .... Unless you like wasting time shooting everything for blues but if your like me purples don't even get me excited anymore!
-
11 RespuestasImo it's not worth killing trash for the most part. Marvel Heroes had this problem. People rushing bosses while others cleared and usually missed the bosses loot altogether as they were too far away. They combated this by adding a feature where the more mobs you kill, the more loot chests you get at the end. Seemed to work well. Something like this would go well in strikes. The more mobs killed the higher the change at receiving better loot IE Legendaries, Shaders and Exotics.
-
Why not run ahead with him since you need to complete 25 strikes and the faster you do them, the faster that part of the bounty is done. Or does that just make too much sense?
-
1 RespuestaRunning past enemies you aren't required to kill has been a strategy in game after game for a long time. In Destiny there is at least one or two waves you have to complete before you can progress in a strike, this is the requirement, killing the mobs in between are not.
-
4 RespuestasIf u wanna kill trash mobs go patrol cosmodrome, the object of the strike is to kill the boss finish the strike and reap the rewards. Whats the point of killing every single thing u come across
-
Quit trying to force the way you play on other people.
-
2 RespuestasI mean what are you doing the strike for? Do you really enjoy doing the same 5 strikes over and over again? I do them for the marks n engrams. Theres no real reason to do the strike right. If i am running a 24 strike with a couple 28/29s, i expect everyone to want it done asap.
-
1 RespuestaWhy kill enemies you do not HAVE to kill? Most do the strikes for missions/marks/rep. Not to kill stuff. They fight when they need to but if an enemy does not need to die to move ahead in the mission, why waste time? Literally every game anywhere has people do this, they want to finish the mission and get the reward at the end. After a few dozen times not many people find the strike itself enjoying.
