Umm how about fixing this game first! WTF?
Edit: building the game engine is what took bungie seven years to make this game. The next game will take nowhere near seven years so that argument is invalid. Bungie should be throwing everything they can at addressing the issues in this game FIRST! I would bet anything that Saturn, Titan and Old Chicago are playable areas in destiny 2 because they were already cut out of this game

Dude. As much as we would all want Bungie to fix this game first, it's just not going to happen. The CONTRACT between Activision and Bungie calls for 4 Destiny games. Yes 4! Each with expansions and DLC through 2020. The contract was signed in 2010. We're already 4 years into that "10 year vision" that everyone seems to have misconceptions about. It's simply a 10 year contract for the Destiny Universe. Not 10 years of Destiny #1. This isn't and never was intended to be WoW.

People will flip about anything. If the game is a series the next in line goes into production a few months after release. This isn't new and it certainly doesn't mean they stop supporting and working on the current. Shut the -blam!- up.

5 Respuestas"According to Activision, Bungie has a Lord of the Rings-sized narrative in mind for Destiny." To quote The Comedian - "A. Ah ha. A ha ha ha. A ha ha ha ha ha ha ha."
-
Define 'working on', that could mean they have sat in an office and said 'so, Destiny two, where do we start?'. If you don't think they start these processes really early then you're dumber than you look.
-
According to Activision, Bungie has a Lord of the Rings-sized narrative in mind for Destiny.
Lol.

78 RespuestasIn all honestly if you can name 5 LEGIT problems with this game I won't call you a retard.
-
2 RespuestasYou cannot polish the turd. If they want to start good Destiny franchise, ditching Destiny (one that we all know) and starting entire new game is best way to do it.
-
Oh sorry this upsets you...
-
I think most striking thing was that they also said to be working on D2 expansions. $$$$€€
-
Game developers often work on sequels directly after launch. There's only so many people you can logistically task with fixing issues without sinking your company by wasting resources. No rest for the weary and all that.
-
Bungie just lost all of my future purchases. As far as I'm concerned, "Destiny" could have been a top down shooter and have the same amount of content instead wasting all that money and our time with a mediocre MMOFPS wanna be. Good idea, awful piss poor shity execution.
-
I've always been under the impression that they created one big game from start, one that they then split up into different games. I mean, what the -blam!- els have they been up to all these years? If any other business pumped that much money and staff into a project they'd run out of business.

10/200 tears collected \_/ give me more, they taste so good!

1 RespuestaIm not even suprise with the minimal content this game has to offer it feel like a test sample to see if it was worth a shot and now that they have sell they think hey let make more money the samle sold great
-
"Lord of the rings sized narrative" lmao
next joke
-
Who says those places were cut out of this game? They were never in the game to begin with.
-
3 RespuestasIt takes a long time to make a game. Developers usually start work on the next installment after the release of the original game. They also work on patches and what not. Some companies have devoted teams for patching games and what not. So this is not surprising to me
-
2 RespuestasOf course they're patching Destiny. Destiny 2 is the patch to fix Destiny 1. You have to pay another 60 bucks for it. Suckers.
-
Well they did sign a contract for 4 games over 8 years so it is not unexpected, as well he said 'work on' which could mean anything. Maybe they have someone in the accounting department at Activision trying to figure out how many ten year olds don't have Destiny but will buy Destiny 2 two years from now. Plus someone is probably already doing cover art and life size in-store displays advertising limitless possibilities for a game that has not actual been created.
-
I would have assumed they were working on it before this game came out
-
9 RespuestasBuilding the game engine took 7 years? They used havoks game engine WTF took them 7 years?
-
6 RespuestasI'm not buying Destiny 2 if I can't transfer my Destiny 1 character.
-
1 RespuestaI bet destiny 2 will be next gen only

1 RespuestaThe amount of butthurt in this thread is too damn high!

7 years? Halo 3 came out 7 years ago. Bungie also released two additional games in that time period. I don't believe work on Destiny has been 7 years in the making.
