Umm how about fixing this game first! WTF?
Edit: building the game engine is what took bungie seven years to make this game. The next game will take nowhere near seven years so that argument is invalid. Bungie should be throwing everything they can at addressing the issues in this game FIRST! I would bet anything that Saturn, Titan and Old Chicago are playable areas in destiny 2 because they were already cut out of this game

Do you even know how long it takes to develop a title? Another game I play, DC Universe, was in development for 10 years. It takes time, so don't go drawing false conclusions.

Hate to say it but this is old news

Think of it this way, Destiny "1" was just a demo that smoothened the road and worked out a lot of kinks. Destiny 2 will have everything fixed, improved, and, lastly, delivered. You can say that many sequels don't live up to the first one, but again... Bungie has a very good history and this is their first "MMO" (don't think it's really a MMO, but putting the idea down) and will improve on their consumer feedback. You have to understand, it is relatively easier to implement the changes into a developmental build rather than a finished build because then it has to go through rigorous bug testing and licenses fees that can be costly for the studio. You paid for what you get. The game isn't a masterpiece, but they are slowly getting it there. One of the issues here is that Bungie is listening a little too much. Now, people believe that it's appropriate to bash the studio to get the changes heard because Bungie values their reputation and wants the best fan base. However, if you truly like Bungie - do you think you're paying respect back by cursing and bashing them about certain flaws in the game? Does that seem fair? Have they not tried to implement a majority of changes? This is my 2 cents and I hope you understand where I'm coming from. Bungie is working the best possible on it and the community needs to take a step back and realize, they're in good hands.

Yeh buddy everyone heard this the week after this game was released. Plus it will likely go down the Mass Effect route of letting you take your character with it and it will be years before it comes out AND I bet you will buy it.
-
Bungie doesn't need every single employee they have to fix issues in this game. They can do more than one thing at a time.
-
17 RespuestasGame sucks. Still got deluded people saying things like "the game has only just come out, they'll improve it". What a bunch of tards. Pay £80 for a game and be alright with it not being finished. This game is a cash cow aimed at the lowest common denominator. If you like it for any thing other that the game-physics, you have extremely unrefined taste.

Don't worry nobody will buy Destiny 2...this is Bungiehole'$ last game.

Oh, believe me, I'm not defending Activision at all. Far from it. I think their involvement likely hurt this project a lot more than it ever helped. Their president Bobby Kotic isn't a gamer and doesn't like games. He's in it for making as much money as possible, pure and simple. I'm just taking a realist stance toward the whole thing and trying to hope for things likely to happen, rather than wishing for things that are way beyond possible for this game right now. A great many forum posters are cheating themselves out of what this game DOES have to offer by seeing nothing but what they DIDNT get. When you let yourself do that, you really have wasted your money.

1 RespuestaWhen I first started playing destiny and the solar system started getting unlocked I saw this potential for the game where they kept the game called destiny and just kept expanding. The concept of the game was so cool, I thought it could just grow infinitely because of this. To draw an analogy look at league of legends - the most popular game in the world... They constantly update the game through buffs and nerfs and visual upgrades like the maps and the characters themselves. From its birth to what it is now it is a completely revamped game. And it is a free game. It really disappoints me that Bungie is taking the same approach as call of duty or whatever. I remember when it used to be four or five years before a new version of a game came out and it was drastically improved. If it is true they are adding content to destiny 2 that was supposed to be in destiny 1....i dont think bungie is the company I thought they were. Or Activision is bending them over
-
1 RespuestaYeah, and Rocksteady had already started work on Arkham City before Arkham Asylum was finished, those fiends!

Activision

3 RespuestasDestiny is planed as triology. Like a low story Mass Effect- include the Geth .... Vex... how ever... I' m looking forward for a Mass Effect sequel- hopefully with MMO Content.... if this will happened i only could say: " i'm out of here!"

2 RespuestasPeople seem to forget that Activision is involved here. This is the company who dumped games from their catalog (Ghostbusters and Brutal Legend) because the couldn't be "exploited on a yearly basis." Of course Destiny 2 is already in development. Besides, with all the complaints that, honestly, are too big or fundamental to fix, at least they can be addressed in the next game.

4 RespuestasWait until you find out that Destiny 2 is already on your Destiny 1 disc lol.

As long as I can transfer character progression Idc bout destiny 2

Here's my issue. If work has already begun on the sequel, then the creative portion of DLC for this game has to be largely finished. The perception is almost set in stone that so soon after launch, with a year of planned expansion sold for $40, the game is actually finished. The DLC was nearly ready to go at launch. Things were cut in order to inflate the price tag and drag people into playing the game far longer than the actual shelf-life of the content. And when that's how people are viewing the game...well, they say that perception is everything.
-
16 RespuestasThis is why I left (AW is great btw). No hard feelings Destiny beta, but I'd rather just wait for Destiny 2. Enjoy $40 on map packs.

"At Activision we are very pleased at the launch of Destiny" This sums it up. They are happy they made the money from launching the game. Nothing about being please with product they put out. Seems to me you would want your first game to be a solid game so you bring back all those players for your next game. Just look at the CoD series, great games early on fell off as the years went by but people are still flocking to the midnight releases. It would appear if they don't figure it out quickly they will not be "very pleased with the launch of Destiny 2". Devs you have a good game just get the executives to let you fill in the gaps.

3 Respuestasone game release, every other year. dlc in the time between. it was clearly stated when they FIRST announced destiny
-
i hope this isn't going to become a thing like callofduty with the yearly releases... Destiny2 2015. Destiny3 2016. Destiny4 2017.

Dude. As much as we would all want Bungie to fix this game first, it's just not going to happen. The CONTRACT between Activision and Bungie calls for 4 Destiny games. Yes 4! Each with expansions and DLC through 2020. The contract was signed in 2010. We're already 4 years into that "10 year vision" that everyone seems to have misconceptions about. It's simply a 10 year contract for the Destiny Universe. Not 10 years of Destiny #1. This isn't and never was intended to be WoW.
