At present, you can't play Patrol any higher than Level 18... I think. Most of the enemies don't go higher than that level, so if you're Level 28 or higher, Patrol is a real cakewalk no matter what planet you're on.
Anybody think they should add higher difficulty levels for all the Patrol missions? You know; Level 20, 24, and 28 with the Heroic modifier active. Might be interesting.
There could be some added perks to playing on higher difficulties. For example:
[b]Better Loot:[/b] More Rare engram drops for playing Patrol on Hard Mode; playing on Level 28 Hard Mode would be nothing but Rare engram drops, with a slightly higher chance for Legendary engrams. Also, upgrade materials (Spinmetal, Relic Iron, etc.) would be found in larger quantities.
[b]More Vehicles:[/b] Parked Pikes would be found in certain areas in the Cosmodrome, on the Moon, and on Venus. Also, a couple of extra Interceptors would be added to Mars to help you deal with the higher-level enemies.
[b]Better Rewards:[/b] Completing Gold Tier public events on Hard Mode upwards of Level 24 guarantees a reward of Ascendant Materials, and even the occasional Rare or Legendary engram. You also receive more Vanguard marks for Public Events, and more Vanguard reputation for completing beacon missions.

What we really need is a dynamic difficulty that can be selected to adjust to you're personal level. A sort of personal difficulty that is selected that affects only you're characters not you're whole team. In other words, the difficulty should adjust to you're personal level similar to the Hive and Fallen war in Skywatch (in that those enemies are level 8, but they take a beating like they are level 26). This will allow us to play with low levels, but at the same time feel like were working a bit harder for our patrols and loot and it would allow the higher leveled players to get more out of his/her own personal patrol. Please reply if you agree or feel you need more clarification on what I'm entailing.

Increase the difficulty, give the same rewards but in a different amount. Give me 25 rep per patrol vs 10. Give me upgrade matts. Or even give me a new currency that is only awarded for work on the frontier that can be spent on rep or materials or ammo. This, I would sign on for. But you don't need to give me legendary engrams for it sheesh, everyone wants epic shit for everything they do. Other than that OP, I agree with the rest!

2 Respuestasthat is a great idea, but honestly it would be alot easier for bungie to just incorporate some higher level enemies or lower level enemies on the different planets in different areas, such as enemies on the earth are anywhere from lvl 4 to level 10, it would be nice to head into a building and find a couple level 15 enemies, or a couple lvl 28 enemies. that way each planet will have low level enemies, as well as high lvl enemies. idk its crazy to go to the earth and collect spinmetal so easy. i can obtain roughly 200 spinmetal in an hour without EVER dying. (lvl 27 warlock). the moon for example i can obtain roughly 100 helium before getting ambushed and dying, or about 50 spirit bloom on venus, or about 35-40 relic iron on mars before recieving my fate. it is level based. they should defineaely change this a bit. i mean if i hit level 20 with a toon and need a bunch of relic iron to upgrade something, its kinda like find some real good players to help you or die alot attempting to grab it on your own kinda thing. if they incorporated different lvl enemies in different areas of different planets it would be a little bit easier to obain the material you need, as well as to have a challene on all planets not just having kind of a challenge on mars and the rest of the planets are super easy. and also. why is mars 90% cabal, venus 90% vex, moon 90% hive, and earth 90% fallen? it seems like the darkness factions arent even friends. i constantly see different factions fighting each other, such as vex vs cabal or fallen vs hive, e.t.c. are they even friends at all? it seems like they have split for whatever reason. i mean if you are reading this and you think im crazy or dont believe me, just go ahead and go to the devils lair strike on earth and the first portion of the strike where you have to fight off 3 waves of enemies while your ghost hacks the system kinda thing. just watch the enemies as soon as you walk in, before you start shooting, the hive and the fallen are beating the hell out of each other. they are defineately fighting over something. anyways hope you all enjoy my rambling comments on this post. 1 RespuestaThere are enemies higher then 18 in patrol. In the Cosmodrome if you go to the Forgotten Shore there's a somewhat hidden path in the back by the house on top of the RAS-2 Bunker. This path leads to an area called the Grottos which has a Hive lair full of lvl 20 foes. Venus has lvl 26 enemies in the Waking Ruins, and lvl 20 enemies in the Citadel, and lvl 22 enemies in the area behind the Citadel.

This game needs Something for patrol missions. Their nothing but grind fests atm. Don't get me wrong, I still enjoy them because I can sort of Zen out and just let the game flow around me almost matrix style. But it gets old fast. And the rate at which you get rep for Patrol Missions is lamentable. Such little rewards. I agree fully on implementing Hard Mode patrols. I like the idea of improved rewards for a more difficult task. Makes absolute sense.
