You have the mind set that you earned you exotic weapon/armor. You think because it took you awhile to finally get that piece of exotic trash, that you earned it. You didn't earn it. You don't earn any exotics except for bounty ones and the vex from hard raid. So that what im assuming you are referring to patience and time that you are hitching that everyone has now. Deal with it, honestly earning strange coins from the weekly heroic is more of an "earn" than just getting it randomly from rng.
