"That's your opinion and it's incorrect so I'm going to be an arrogant asshole and continue to delude myself that I lead the masses of destiny." That's what you were trying to say, right?

  • Really? Because last time I checked not only did most major game review companies give this game a six out of 10, as well as some other notable youtube celebrities. (Angry Joe, anyone?) I can therefore assume safely that I not only speak backing a seemingly majority opinion, but that I am indeed more informed than you are. You're going off of numbers from... three weeks ago? You also forget that, while 3.2 million is indeed an impressive number, it's spread out over 4 consoles. Now, who's going to be playing that "6 out of 10 game with the already in-game dlc" when games like dragon age inquisition and call of duty advanced warfare are out and about?

I will. All 12,000 members of my XBox 360 clan will. Im sure hundreds of thousands if not millions of others will. And im sorry your an idiot that cant read between the lines. Have you actually read these reviews. How the people talk about how addicting the game is, and how remarkable the game play itself is, and the beauty and detail in the background art, basically talk nothing more then how much they love the game, then give it a 6 out of 10. That is because the review houses are trying to get back at Bungie for not giving them preferential treatment before the game released, for obvious reason which Bungie already detailed numerous times. Also, a review is nothing more then 1 persons opinion. They dont really mean anything. I know plenty of games that had terrible reviews but still have huge followings. Ogre Battle on PS1 for example. A 5 out of 10 review score, still considered one of the best console based RTS's of all time. So, just because you are dumb enough to believe everything you read doesnt mean all of us are. So take your game back to the store, do whatever it is you need to do with your copy, but you should do so in silence and leave those of us who do enjoy the game, in peace. No one cares about your opinion on the matter.

  • Yeah, there are rough gems, we all know this. Yes, reviews are no more than one person's opinion. But when multiple people express the same opinion, then something strange happens. It becomes the popular opinion. Yeah, the gunplay's cool, the gambling addiction of the loot is there, but you're really telling me that's the foundation of a great game? And trying to treat this as some sort of conspiracy of the review companies to get back at bungie for not getting the ass licking they deserve? Pure idiocracy. You think that you can speak for 12k memebers when they suddenly start realizing "Oh hey, there's not actually much to do here." I think you need to sit back and think about the grand scale that you're talking about. Over four consoles, there were 3.2 million players playing each day. That was weeks ago. You don't see them doing that every week, do you? "Oh we have 2.2 million players on each day this week!" "Well guys, we still have 1.8 million of you this week, going strong!" How would that look? I can express my opinion, just as you can yours. You can call me wrong, tell me my opinion doesn't matter, but all that does is make you look like some vain asshole campaigning for no cause. You mention ogre battle, which tells me you've been into video games for a while. You have no doubt seen what happens when companies not only fail to deliver, but when they actively shun their community after not delivering. You've also, no doubt seen great video games get trampled in the dust in lieu of even greater games. Based on this information, it should be pretty obvious what will happen to destiny. Oh, no doubt people will come right back for the dlc, as will I no doubt. But shortly after, when they realize that it's just a little bit more of the same thing that's been dished out to them for an exorbant price, they'll leave. And they won't come back. That is, until the next dlc. But fewer will return, remembering just how they were screwed over in the cash grabbing escapade.

  • Dude seriously, Defiance made and is still making money, Destiny has NOTHING to worry about for a long long LONG time, lol. This is how I KNOW you are wrong. Defiance really is a bad game. Its broken, nearly unplayable, and has a total of 10hrs worth of content after like 2 years. It still has 200,000 daily players. Do you honestly think Destiny even comes close to the level of awfulness that is Defiance? And even using your own example, "3.2 million players playing each day. That was weeks ago. You don't see them doing that every week, do you? "Oh we have 2.2 million players on each day this week!" "Well guys, we still have 1.8 million of you this week, going strong!" Not sure about you, but 1.8 million daily players is still a pretty successful game. So using that math, by August of next year we should still be running over 500k daily players. Not WoW sure, but still enough to keep the servers on. And like I said, you might not, but I will still be playing then.

  • Well in opinion youre too on the games dick to see clearly Ya the gameplay is fun and addicting but by now about half of my friends have moved on. (New shit isnt even out yet lol) Its simple, the connection is shit, the content is horribly lacking (ive seen every exo) and the story is not there You do the same tiny amount of strikes and often get doubles because theres 5. The raid has how many glitches and the patch atheons sending habits, making it harder to bring new people in the vault, so when the dlc comes in christmas its sales will pale in comparison to their pre order numbers. This may not destroy the game but i know im done until the next event. Basically what i and everyone else is trying to say is this is a half ass game and they need more content. If your simple and are cool with the same 6 variations of legendary armor sweet. Even after the dlc itll be the same shit everyone who is 32 will look the same again. But by all means be content with this beta of a game because its addicting lol as if that is valued "-blam!- ya i love how i feel the need to play for no reason"

Well, it doesnt take too much for a teenager to lose attention. "Oh look. Theres a butterfly." lol. The fact still comes down to, if you dont like the game, dont play it. No one said you have too. I dont see why people who dont like, and have stopped playing (or so you claim) yet you still sit on here complaining about it. Thats called trolling. There are in fact many of us who do like the game, and I know exactly why. Yes, I agree content is very lacking, but that doesnt necessarily mean the game is ruined either. I am an MMO veteran, I am no stranger to the grind. I have no problem with that, and quite honestly, its the reason I bought the game to begin with, the MMO aspects. And as a person who played during the launch of WoW, I also know this is what an MMO looks like when it first starts out. And no I dont care what your opinion of what an MMO is or is not is. In my opinion its an MMO, and for all intents, im the one playing it, so the only opinion that matters to me is mine on that. This is how a launch MMO looks. Cause what you dont keep in mind, through all your obvious hardcore professionalism (LOL), is the average person playing only puts in about 3hrs a day, which means contending with a minimal amount of repetition, thats like 3 weeks worth of content. Not everyone puts in 12hrs+ a day like idiots like us do. Also, ive never experienced, nor has anyone ive partied with on the raid, any of the "glitches" you speak of. Getting booted one time and getting all temper tantrum about it does not constitute glitches. It constitutes a one time error that you are acting all whine ass about. But I will give you the Aetheon change, that is dog -blam!-.

You keep forgetting an important detail. 1.8 million players 2 months after launch. Over four consoles. Those numbers would be impressive on one console, but over four? And then as of august next year? 500k players? Thats about 125k per platform. If that. That's a bleak future. You can play all you want, I give no -blam!-s. But trying to tell yourself that the game is going to keep floating on such empty promises is stupid. Edit: Defiance still has players because it went free to play. Is destiny going free to play? I think not. And it has plenty more content than destiny now. I don't think you've looked into the game since it released. They've done a lot of work on it, it's more than a decent game now.

  • Yeah... Defiance was always free to play, same with Destiny. I mean, unless you are paying a subscription fee, which would be stupid. And I tried to play it a few weeks ago. Upon getting on, I had enough missions to last 49 minutes, and the 2 arkfalls I tried to join both crashed before the reward screen, same as it always did. Shadow Wars are still broken, rampages still pointless, and not even any extra gamer score achievements. Im sorry, I fail to see what changed?

  • Defiance was not free to play. There was a base cost of 60 dollars. Now? Now you can download it for free. Oh wait, that's right. You're playing on console. I meant for PC, my bad. Obviously they stopped giving a shit about the 360 version.
