All of you Halo 4 deniers!
Just to let you guys know, the Halo series isnt thrown out of the window yet, so there still is a chance to be a Halo 4. Just ask Frank himself. In a interview for one of them gaming magazines he said that there still is a chance. PLUS no one from Bungie EVER denied the fact there was going to be a Halo 4.

If a Halo 4 is coming out after Reach, you can be sure Bungie's not making it. They're selling the title after Reach. Also, it's supposed to be a Trilogy. No Halo 4.

I've forever been curious about not just the Milky Way galaxy where most of the Halo plot is set but the entire universe surrounding it. The Forerunners serve the same function as The Ancients in the Stargate mythos, and the recent STU series has really kept me fascinated by the idea of space travel on an intergalactic scale. We need to see a truly epic forerunner centred plot, and one that doesn't involve destroying the Flood, (who I think, like many others are the biggest weakness in the Halo franchise).

I thought BUNGiE said they wouldn't continue the Halo story line? Maybe I got some information wrong or something. If they're going to make a "Halo 4," what would be the story be about, Master Chief fighting on the unknown planet? I can sorta see that in a game, but seems like a newer version Halo: Combat Evolved, fighting on Alpha Halo, finding a way to get off and destroy the ring.

Ask any Video Game Dev, You can't end a Game Series with a disapointment, and lets face it, Halo 3 was a disappointment. If Halo 4 comes out, Bungie will take the multiplayer gaming Universe Back from CoD4

If I'm not mistaken the 2nd Halo ring was not destroyed, therefore the Flood on that planet still survived? Also there are in total 7 Halo rings, MC encountered 2(and a remake of the 1st ring), in which he found the Flood in the heart of the ring. So the Flood still remain in the heart of the other 5 Halo rings. Also I believe somewhere in the last level in Halo 3 the Gravemind said that he isn't the only Gravemind alive. However on the back of Halo 3 it says something like "The stunning conclusion to this epic trilogy" This tells us that there won't be a Halo 4. Furthermore the Legendary ending clearly can be carried on and the Bungie team have not denied rumours of a Halo 4! I believe they are creating suspense. If they were to release it tomorrow it would not reach as much sales, say from a few years from now. I think they are waiting for Halo 3 to completey die or all Halo games to die(which won't happen with me about :P) then they make a Halo 4 to shock people and this would maximize sales. My personal opinion of how halo 4 should be is this. There should be an insanely large campaign that has very important story elements that will keep the theorists crazy for years. The forge mode should have a god damn menu with settings like lock 90 degree angles. It should be like halo 2 in the respect that it follows the arbiter and the MC. Arby could return to his homeworld and have an epic battle with the brutes, (bungie said nothing about them ALL being dead, it even hints at this in the description of [i]Assembly[/i], meanwhile Master chief and cortana could go kill some stuff in some huge forerunner plot for the galaxy. I'm a story nerd so I would prefer campaign to multiplayer. anyway feel free to tear my ideas up.

that would be a game i would buy! i loved the halo games but you can only make a story go so far before it gets old, the idea of being brutes would be great! i was thinking of a vise versa game of halo... like being who you wanna be at the beginning like grunts, brutes, elites, etc. but! another story with new bad guys and new spartans would be a good way for 2 player campaign. but i think bungie is running out of ideas so if they make a new game its not going to be as good. :)

it is possible, halo 3 ended as the destroyed frigate headed towards the funky planet, the odst sqaud is still alive, the halo wars ship has been floating in space for years and at at the end of the novel the cole protocol the spartan gray team is missing so they can still be alive, not to mention the novel ghosts of onyx. for all we know the planet the chief is landing on is the remains of onyx and the halo wars ship also finds that planet. and the odst team goes to check out what happened to thier top secret spartan training planet(onyx) Edit: w/ the release of odst there is now the legendary ending where truth and some engeniers find the big tunnel with that big forrunner structure witch could very well be a portal to that mysterious planet the chief was floating to witch is probly onyx from the novel. and the whole glyph thing http://www.bungie.net/Forums/posts.aspx?postID=37869115 they mite be the engenier investegations of that forruner ruin. or maybe they are trying to tell you what is going on with that main excavation of the portal in halo three warning the humans. so my guess on halo 4 is this... chiefs ship lands on onyx and the halo wars ship finds the planet soon. maybe serena n' cortana say combine thier core intellegence to make it so that they don't go rampant. then they build a message transmitter out of salvage parts from the ships and out of the forrunner ruins. and send a message for back up so the halo odst sqaud comes and drops onto the planet along with the chief and the halo wars crew. so then maybe they find some renegage engeniers and they probably brought vergil who would have had to rebuild a slipspace drive covi style to get too onyx on time. so vergil tells them what has happened with the war. meanwhile some surviving brutes and some minor prophets and the other races who survive intercept the messages and maybe the arbiter and the elites have been tracking the brutes/prophet/ect. and find the planet too so maybe they re uncover those special sentinals that guard onyx and the engeniers hack the mand force open the portal finding the inside of the shield worldand the surviving spartans / the other people with them and have another epic combined fight with the brutes and some flood who stole a ship passing ove one of a new halo ring and build a new grave mind to fight. and then what happens happens. If not that they should make a W.O.W style halo rpg where you can be anything from spartan to prophet to flood and grunts. [Edited on 10.26.2009 5:16 AM PDT]

If you search "Halo 3" on Gamespot.com, in the news articles, there's an article stating that although Bungie may not neccessarily be continuing the Halo franchise after Halo: Reach, Microsoft has every intention to continue it until 6 years from now: 2015.

well first of all bungie claimed halo 3 is the end of the story.. ODST just was released.. there beginning a hype for halo reach after that it would at least be released in 2011 unless there working on some sorta secret project, that would be nice but all the halos were destroyed flood destroyed unless ..... MC and cortana end up on the last surviving covenant planet and the elites don't want there people to die out.. the UNSC find the chief n cortana that'd be good =]

Im sure there will be a Halo 4. Bungie havent denied it and they are hiring new people every day, ye they might be working on reach but cmon. "wake me when you need me" and then randomly flying towards a planet. btw when is reach set?

yeah u hold up some points, but the fact that no one from bungie never denied it, doesnt mean its a complete guarantee either. i love halo the halo series and would like to see it continue, but i doubt there will be a HALO 4.
