Iron banner is coming back....yay. honestly, i think the iron banner is a waste of time. People with awesome gear want to stomp people with crappy gear. So where's the motivation for people with crappy gear to show up? Except to just try it out, they won't. Crucible keeps it more even. You win if you're good. That's the way it should be. Besides, iron banner is only going to be filled with people that have the best gear anyway, which means match ups will be evened out. Except someone will be complaining they aren't owning noobs. You want to own? Play on a level field and earn it like a boss. You know what I want to see? A pure melee match. 3 on 3 where everyone has a sword, like the sword of crota or the relic in VoG. All modes would work well actually, 6 vs 6, 3 vs 3, and free for all. You know what this fixes? Everyone complaining about pvp. Everything is even, we all got swords and it's utter chaos. Bungie, I'll let you know who to make the check out to for this. I will also accept a job offer. Edit 1: Nice to see this starting to pick up some steam. I had another thought about how to make this even more fun. Everyone starts out with a sword, and based on the same timer, add the heavy ammo drop in crucible as a shield will drop. The difference will be the fact that the shield's super will have range. Maybe a sweet knockback effect. Edit 2 (November 10, 2014): This idea applies to all Destiny content present and future.
