Thorn Bounty is a load of shit. How can you do it as a Hunter?
Before reading, please note that there will be fowl language. You've been warned.
Ok, so I recently got the Thorn Bounty on my Hunter class... We can all see where this is going. The Crucible section of this bounty is the biggest pile of shit if you don't have a void sub-class or any good void weapons. I've got a Void Sniper and a Void Assault Rifle. Seeing as Assault rifles have recently been nerfed, the thing's pretty much useless because of it's already low damage rate (considering I'm shooting the head not the body). The sniper is also difficult to use because there are no good spots on any map to really shoot from. And I haven't got any heavy void weapons. I'd be completely fine with this bounty if it weren't for the 2 point penalty upon dying. For some, that's probably fine, but I generally have a k/d ratio of around 0.47 so essentially, I take 1 step forward 2 steps back. This bounty is just plain unfair for those who aren't any good at Crucible or don't have good Void weapons. It's just plain stupid. I've read all different strategies and tried a bunch of them, but I keep getting thrown in games with spastic shotgunners, supreme snipers, maniac machine-gunners, assault-rifle wielding psychopaths and pyromaniacs with rocket launchers who just beat me to a bloody pulp. Seriously Bungie, how the -blam!- do I do this? I know I'm having a rant, but this part of the game's made me rage harder than playing Ninja Gaiden, and that was a bitch to beat.
Can anyone help please?

The first in Iron Banner taking advantage of my level 32 armor with atheons epilogue, praedyths revenge and a void against all odds, and the second in regular crucible using a word of Crota, a void plug one.1 and void against all odds. However you should know that green (uncommon) and blue (rare) weapons are just as effective as purple (legendary) and gold (exotic) weapons in regular crucible. If you play any amount of PVE you likely dismantle hundreds of these per week. So pay attention to them and keep a void shotty with high impact and a void fusion rifle with high impact and range. You can also watch the gunsmiths inventory, he sells a new batch of weapons every 3 hours. Green and blue heavy LMG's also have elemental damage so pay attention to those. If you want a decent legendary heavy LMG that's void you should look at the Vanguard Quartermaster and get the MG18A. Last tip, run with the leader on your crucible team. When he shoots at someone you should shoot with your Atheons epilogue as well, assists count as kills for this bounty. And make sure to make use of your invis abilities in your BladeDancer class when using the shotty.

Make a fireteam of 3 buddies and go into the Rumble playlist. Have them feed you kills until its done. Better weapons will help too, so you may want to wait until you have a void shotty/fusion and a machine gun or rocket launcher.

Did it as a hunter using epilogue and two to the morgue. It's okay, you can do it.

I completed this with my hunter using an uncommon void shotgun half way through I found a rare void shotgun, it's not that hard just try to get a kill with every death

I did it with a hunter using a blue void fusion rifle and void machine gun

I was lucky enough to have "plug one" the void fusion rifle, it didn't take me too long at all and I'm not the best of crucible players

Void shotgun for me. I feel kinda bad about doing it, but put on the blade dancer upgrade that allows further slide distance and Fast Twitch. Run up, slide, shotgun blast. If they didnt die, hit them with blink strike. It'll refill crazy fast and you can just repeat that. I finished the bounty in about 15 games that way.

I did this bounty in a few hours with Atheons Epilogue, FWC void fusion rifle and void zombie apocalypse. It's just important you stay alive, dying takes your progress away. Play the back, let your team take the heat while you stay alive and get kills.

Totally agree with you. I hate Pvp and all bounties should be doable in pve. Ok if they wana do Pvp bounties carry on but leave us pve players out of it.

I've done it 3 times on my Hunter(she got the exotic bounties first) All you need is void weapons. Atheon's Epilogue works for some but I didn't have it when I got my 1st Thorn bounty. Rare void fusions work pretty well but I used a Void LDR and it was fine

I'm a warlock. I'm doing the bounty now. Going into control. Getting about 50 points per match. Yea i suck, i know. But slowly it gets done. It's my second thorn bounty. Using atheon epilouge, praedyth revenge and truth.

Very easy did it 4 times last 2 was around 2-2,5h only Void sniper and heavy m/gun

Blink and the void "two to the morgue" from crucible vendor. Truth for a heavy weapon.

I did it with only a void shotgun. And it was blue but I did it on the iron banner event makes it easy to get kills. If you do control and only focus on kills you have loads of opportunity. If you're on Xbox 360 I'll roll with you so far thorn was worth the hassle.

Editado por Number279: 2/28/2015 4:59:13 PMBuy a void machine gun and shotgun. Invisibility + shotgun and camp the heavy ammo drop spots. Also, assists count as kills so stick with your teammates. It shouldn't be hard to get assists with a void AR.
