Bungie should put players who quit the crucible into probation- they can't join crucible for 10,20,30 minutes.
Edit I am referring to the people who quit, not get kicked.

1 RespuestaYou know #*#*#*#*+{+{^|^^#]?|£,££|!.]> you buddy sometimes I get 1/2 into a match and my infant wakes up and I have to put the controller down and change a diaper and feed her I'm not missing out on my reward. And thanks to all you who support my occasional absence my daughter thinks you are all awesome.

2 RespuestasI think before you enter crucible the game should check your connection first and not let you in unless it is to a certain standard there are to many players on destiny who have poor connections that ruin it for all of us.

Some people quit because theyre chasing bounties and can't be arsed to stay till the end. Ie theyre after first blood, if they miss it theyll bail and try again. Its shit but its how it goes.

18 RespuestasEditado por N311V: 10/21/2014 2:10:58 PMI'll likely be a quitter and I'm sorry but the exotic bounty I'm working on requires I get a 25 kill spread in Crucible. Basically I'll need a K/D above 1 for 25 matches in a row. I wouldn't normally play PvP as I don't enjoy it and I'm not good at it. My K/D is usually about 0.5 therefore to finish the exotic bounty I'm going to have to quit matches whenever my K/D falls below 1. EDIT: See my post below. Despite always having a K/D below 1 the Bounty counter has increased. I've no clue what a 25 kill spread means now. EDIT 2: I think it's counting the sum of kills and assists and then subtracting deaths to calculate the spread. In the game which bumped the counter up to 3 from zero, I had a K/D of 0.75 via 3 kills and 4 deaths. However, 3 kills plus 4 assists equals 7, minus 4 deaths equals 3. This means a K/D > 1 isn't needed, what's needed is a (K+A)/D > 1.

2 RespuestasThat's not a bad solution actually. There should be some repercussion for quitting a game

Hey look another crybaby
-
I don't quit I get kicked by errors
-
5 Respuestasor a Mark penalty. leaving crucible depletes six marks!
-
I'd agree but I know a lot of my friends get constant error codes so it's not their fault..
-
8 RespuestasThey aren't quitting you idiot. They are getting error codes.
-
6 Respuestas-blam!- yea I'll quit when matchmaking fails and gives me a 3v6 match or puts me in a game where my teams lost all control points before I joined and every enemy has heavy ammo. Who the hell would stay
-
Only if there's a way to determine a network drop out from a manual quit. I'd say 10mins is fair, I mean if you've got to quit out because the baby has woken up or something then you're probably going to be busy during that period. Whereas if you just quit because you're losing then 10 mins is enough of a pain in the ass to deter you from doing it too often.
-
Does the game know the difference between leaving and deserting? That would be necessary, right?
-
I keep getting kicked from the crucible because of the multiple sever errors.
-
Or maybe, just maybe, make it impossible to quit outside of rebooting your console or dashboarding.
-
5 RespuestasYet another reason to separate pvp from the pve. This conversation wouldn't even be needed.
-
U mad bro? If people on your team weren't quitting would you be the GOAT? :'(

1 RespuestaI like being able to leave. When I join games late and the enemy team is repeatedly chaining supers and possesses heavy ammo, I don't want to stay and play. I can't kill anything, so why bother?
-
1 RespuestaThe only thing worse then quitters is the one person who stays after his entire team quits and wastes your time. This prevented me from hitting rank 3 with iron banner I only had a few hours left and it kept happening. No one joined the enemy team and they just kept staying there getting their ass pulverized.

2 RespuestasBungie should have completely separated PvP and PvE. This would have taken common sense though.
-
You do know the quitters are only there to complete their E-bounty? When they do, they are out. Bungie pushes them into gameplay they don't want to do. They get their kills, and scram. Not all of them. I would. If I even considered taking up a E-bounty. I left them at the board. Screw them, screw Bungie, screw ? Hehehe.

2 RespuestasNo, I love when the other team leaves! I win faster. In fact, I was playing salvage last night when the opposing fire-team leader had his ghost out and tried to leave; I shoulder charged him and proceeded to T-bag him while shooting his corpse. I also yelled "back the -blam!- out, this is my house." They left shortly thereafter.
-
This is a very old subject, Bungie has a good history, with quitters. Ban hammers worked really well in Bungie. Just wait.

It's hard to gauge this. There are sometimes I leave a crucible match on purpose...join a raid...answer a call from work, take care of my puppy, answer the call of nature. All of these things are more important than completing another repetitive crucible match. With that said, I am constantly booted against my will from Crucible more than any other game mode, and usually with the match around 75% complete. It's extremely frustrating, and nobody should be penalized for that. I always stay in a match whenever possible to receive the random rewards at the end. I never bailed from any of the Iron Banner events, despite MY ENTIRE TEAM RAGE QUITTING, all the time. So, I do agree that there should probably be "some" sort of penalty for force quitting to prevent broken iron banners, but not so tough to detract people from entering the crucible for fear of penalty. This issue is much more noticeable for the vanguard strike playlist. Maybe some sort of map/strike voting system? Hell even The Last of Us had a map voting system. Thought that was pretty standard.
