Nova Bomb vs WoD
Hi folks. Just wondering am I the only one that finds it odd that nova bomb is able to not only destroy a ward of dawn but also kill everyone within it? It would seem to me that one super power would simply neutralize another super power, not neutralize it and take out everyone. Now if the lock goes into the ward and nukes that makes sense.
No other super is this powerful against wod, for example golden gun, it requires 2 of 3 shots to take it out. If it were on par with nova bomb it should be able to just shoot on through.
I guess the reason I'm complaining is that defender titans are by far the weakest spec in crucible. Their nades are pretty much a joke, their melee sucks because the shield doesn't apply until after the kill and they have to be extremely close to perform it. The only great thing about defender in PvP is their ward. Nova bomb if used from the outside should simply destroy the ward, and anyone caught outside it, and then have the vortex tick away at those now uncovered by the ward.
Thoughts? Am I way off base or does this just make sense? One super to cancel another.

Thats because void on void cancels eachother, i tested the duration and hits of WoD against sepiks prime and with him hitting it, it went down way faster than without him hitting it at all, so if you put vortex on your nove bomb, the enemies are screwed.....:)

The explosion will not kill or even injure anyone inside the ward of dawn. If there is a vortex afterwards, however, and the people are stupid enough to stand in it, that will kill them.

I feel that WoD should be indestructible like it says on the description lol. I don't play as a titan, nor do I like playing as a titan. I feel like that class is a little underpowered for its super. Maybe I haven't seen enough of the skill tree but that's just what I've seen in PvP. In PvE its extremely helpful :)

2 RespuestasThe only time a Nova Bomb should kill anyone inside a WoD is if the Warlock is using the perk where Nova Bomb leaves a vortex that damages anyone inside the radius. Nova Bomb usually only cancels WoD, you're correct on that. But if it leaves a vortex and everyone in the WoD doesn't move after WoD is cancelled, they could potentially be killed by the vortex left behind. Got a triple down in the Iron Banner last week with that exact strategy :)

I agree, I've put up bubbles at the sight of incoming rockets and nova bombs. The nova bombs always kill me

if you titans would open a book from time to time or do alittle research you might just understand the physics behind your bubble instead of just using what you know nothing about. if you did this you might just figure out why.

My nova bomb destroys bubbles, but I have never got any kills from that.

5 RespuestasI'm glad my nova destroys that bubble and usually kills everyone inside. You shouldn't feel invincible in the bubble. Besides a good defender usually sees a warlock coming and leaves the bubble to either stop the warlock or survive the blast.

WoD? Well, if that's Warlords of Draenor, then Nova Bomb doesn't even come close.

11 RespuestasNova bomb and Fist of Havoc destroys the shield but they don't harm anyone inside unless they have the added dot effects which are avoidable.

4 RespuestasNot a lock but as a hunter I use 2 shots of golden gun to pop bubble then another one to kill the titan inside. So basically used 1 super to destroy bubble and kill a dude inside. Guess its the same for nova too except its aoe so it has more potential to kill more peeps.

I generally waste nova bomb against bubbles. I'll usually run inside and do it there instead, then it kills everyone. You can still do it while blinded, I mean it's not like you need to see to aim while you're in such a small area.
