I just watched The most recent Xmen movie, and it took me back to an earlier question, round 2 Q10 (who was bent on killing Peter Dinklage's character in his previous role). The answer you took as correct was Magneto, but it's actually Mystique who attempts to kill Trask.
Magneto is and has always been bent on killing all humans.

Magneto is still trying to kill Trask at the end of the movie, Mystique is not.

He's trying to kill a group of people that Trask is a part of, not specifically Trask. Mystique was intent on killing Trask.

My intent was Mystique, but for the sake of moving the thread along at the beginning, I didn't want to split hairs. ... I'm not as forgiving anymore if you've noticed. ;)
