Patch said VM will get a 34% damage nerf and a 25% precision boost.
Pre patch stats
Body shot: 44
Headshot:54
Calculations
100 - 34 = 66% damage
So new body shot value should be
44 * 0.66 = 29.04
I just played a game and did about 28 a body shot so this is right (my base numbers might be off 1 or 2 someone correct me)
Check is 54/1.25 = 43.2 (headshot/multipler = body shot)
Then we go to headshots the formula is body shot * precision multiplier = precision damage (I.e. headshots )
Old value
44 * 1.25 = 55
New values
Calculated. --> 29.04 * 1.50 = 43.56
Game body shot --> 28 * 1.50 = 42
What we actually see is
28 for max body shot
38 for max precision shot
Do some math a the real multiplier is
38/28 = 1.357
TL;DR
The actual precision multiplier in the crucible is NOT 1.50 but actually 1.357 ( 1 & 3/7)
So my conclusion is either bungie lied to us or they screwed up.
TL;DR end
More math
-34 %total damage and + 25% for precision damage --> 0.66 * (1.50/1.25) = 0.792
meaning new precision damage should be 79.2% of what is was before
54 *0.792= 42.768 and 42.768 =/= 38. Fix your game bungie or prove me wrong. ( 1 to 2 point final damage error calc expected but 38 + or - 2 =/= ~42

1 RespuestaYou will never escape from math. >,>

1 RespuestaI play Destiny to get away from math. I know know that there is no escape.

Editado por Vhex: 10/16/2014 4:22:36 AMbump, Bungie hire this guy please. He can do math correctly.

bump for knowledge

4 RespuestasAccording to my calculations, the VM is now a great placeholder in my vault.

3 RespuestasAnother thread on this, I'll bump it up, but yes it was overnerfed and now useless in pve.
-
1 RespuestaIt's all there, I really wonder what bungie would say about this. Hopefully they see this.

3 RespuestasIt was 41 and 51 crit to start so your math is already wrong

Just to clarify I'm fine with the patch (even though I believe PvE side got screwed and will again) and will continue to be fine when bungie addresses their mistake to these number discrepancies or someone else points out my mistakes. We both can't be right.
-
1 RespuestaTitle changed. >,>. Back to crucible where my team can never win. Dang randoms.
-
1 RespuestaAnyone got any PvE numbers for me to work out. Would need to be numbers off one target body hits and precision hits pre ad post patch

1 Respuestahttp://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/id=73029704/0/0 That link is to my post about this exact problem I made yesterday with similar statistics but TBH your math seems a little off and the organization of your stats confused me, I'm not here to bash your thread or anything so don't get the wrong idea, all I want to do is spread this around with everyone's help and get feedback as to why it's not the exact 34% debuff we were told. Good job spreading it around Jay

Bump I wonder if Bungie or Deej will even respond to all these posts calculating the damages?
-
1 RespuestaI'll keep Bumping this until Deej answers since he refuses to answer me on any of my questions or points. I only have over 250 hours played on the game so what so I know? Apparently I need 10 for them to jump to everyone of my commands
-
1 RespuestaThis intrigues me; I have been comparing my Mytho to my Suros and my Mythos just feels limp in comparison. If Bungie does indeed address this, then we'll probably here something like.."this is not what we intended.." I'm tired of hearing this as though they act like they didn't lie and do this on purpose. Honesty is the best policy people.
-
BUMP. DeeJ can we get some verification?
-
1 RespuestaIts funny. Cause bungie would respond to bs, but would never respond to this. :| "oh no a kid is proving us stupid. MUST AVOID POST"
-
5 RespuestasI was getting 45 a body shot about point blank in crucible. Now its only 23 damage. Thats nearly a 50% decrease in damage.
