No Wonder People Complain About People Buying Icebreaker
The thing's a freakin monster! I just did the Nightfall strike solo with nothing but the Icebreaker ever equipped. I don't know if it was just the buffs to fire damage that helped or what but the sheer convenience of that fast ammo regen that got me through it without having to run around for ammo. Looks like people just don't like it when they're beloved weapon that they "earned" is in someone else's hand who got it by some other means than a random loot drop.
Also, on the topic of "earning" exotic gear, all these whiners actually have it backwards. As many have mentioned, they got it from a lucky loot drop. There's no earning anything if it's random. The guys like myself who bought it, on the other hand, who grinded for Strange Coins are the ones that ACTUALLY earned it. Sure most of the coins most likely came from lucky decodings as well but most people earned them by playing the weekly heroic. Some even did it with their other characters to maximize the reward. There's nothing random about that reward. It's a set in stone reward that you know you're working toward getting. Think about that next time you whine to someone about how you "earned" it and they didn't.

i love the icebreaker too. i was able to solo the weekly nightfall strike with it.

yeah this weeks was easy due to all the elemental damage.

I solo'd it without using it (don't have one) instead I used the supremacy with arc damage, and changed my heavy machine gun depending on what type of elemental damage I needed to use.

Did the raid with the voice of confluence(in think that is it) and icebreaker slid right through it.

5 RespuestasI find the ammo regeneration to be extremely slow. Too slow for my tastes. Art least with other Sniper rifles I can shoot 6 shots, then shoot 6 more right after. I have to take my time with Ice Breaker, which is nice for most things, but not for maximum damage output.

It was a beast in the nightfall, 3x ice breakers = easy with solar bonus!

4 RespuestasFully agree. I am lvl 27+ and never, ever got a legendary drop. I bought everything else. I did the nightfall yesterday, carried a lvl 25 for an hour, scoring 118/6 kills. At the end he got the exotic rocket launcher.... The next time my partner got 11 shards, and i got nothing... :(

lol you just said you soloed the nightfall with one weapon.. and then go on to say that you earned those strange coins from doing the heroic? lol circular logic at it's best. If you are past lvl 28 it's easy as hell to get exotics.

7 RespuestasI had 10 strange coins, needed 7 so went to weekly and done it on hard mode solo, died alot but got it done, recieved my well EARNED 9 coins and bought my icebreaker. All mu exotics were earned ive never had a single yellow drop ever, the rng hates me lol

just did a strike with it and the two others had it equiped too never seen a strike boss go down that fast :-)

5 RespuestasIt was the solar burn that helped mostly there. Don't get me wrong, its powerful...but you'll see like 7-9k crits on precision shots with Solar Burn. Generally they are only 2-3k.

4 RespuestasAnyone who paid for this game has earned their gear however they may have gotten it!!! Whether through xur or loot it doesn't matter we all earned the gear when we bought the game. It's just a difference in how it was obtained. Stop infighting for no reason please!!!

Been going solo on nightfall and weeklys for 3 weeks since I got the ice breaker. Wait till its maxed out. It should be called the show stopper. This gun shuts shit down.
