I'm a feminist
What do people have against feminism? Why would anyone say they aren't a feminist, or further, are anti feminist?!
Feminism is the forwarding of women's rights in order to gain equality. That is the definition. I don't care if some moron said to kill all men, that's not feminism.
[b]EDIT[/b]: I came across this comic which outlines a few of the aims of a contemporary feminist. I don't agree with all of it, but it's worth a look if you're sceptical, surely one of the points they make must ring true.

11 RespuestasRacist and sexist that is all there is anymore pleas look at your federal and local laws about rights and employment and show me where women and non whites should not be employed and or paid less. If you do find one make an arrangement with your law makers. If you are a woman or a person of any color and are paid to low or refused employment its that employers fault not us white men. Bring it up to your company or a lawyer not to the average population. I have been turned down, passed up, rejected, paid less, fired, laid off, quit, and coached and never once let it get to me people need to grow up and take a step back and see the world from their eyes. A woman fired from her job got a femmbot group together to sue the manager but in court she was arrested because it turns out she was fired because her actions to customers. A black man stoped under suspicion of a crime pressed charges against the police department but it was dropped when they listen to the 911 call telling the about the person. The description was "a black guy kinda tall" That is two examples of thins people thought were racist or sexist and turned out that it was just normal. Please people stop trying to be judges and let the court do their job and if then they miss something then you can jump up and show them what they missed. Bill Cosby not even on trial and is being punished for something that he didn't do. Innocent until proven guilty! What happened to that? Why is it OK to punish someone that you don't even know did it? George Zimmerman judged by everyone guilty, found not guilty! The officer in NY judged by the people guilty, found not guilty!

9 RespuestasI've seen women get paid more than men who have same job title and better work ethic. I've seen women get off with warnings while men get fired over the same mistake. (I think many bosses will give women more chances because they have boobs and will become more emotional if fired) I've seen woman who claim to be feminists who travel far from their infant babies to work and be "equal" while the father must take care of a child he cannot breast feed himself. Some take equality too far almost like an extreme affirmative action. Men and women are not the same physically and will have different perks and downsides to many situations. No one is equal

The goal of feminism is to be equal with men, and yet how come you don't also support MRAs and men's rights? There are far more laws that oppress men then there are that oppress women. The one law or legal thing that is bad for women is the pay gap, and apparently that doesn't even exist, because the way overall pay in a field is measured is bad. Here are laws that oppress men. 1) selective service 2) we get far worse sentences in court 3) never get custody In addition our society is more sexist against men, case and point being people denying that. Men are sexualized all the time but no one cares about that. We are seen as expendable but who cares? Honestly the only feminists that have a point are middle easters women, they are actually oppressed. Even the fame feminism is narcissistic. Why not be a humanist, if you care about equality for both genders?
