What is the best handcannon you've tried in Destiny?
Well, i've finally beaten Thorn's exotic bounty and i'm completely dissapointed because it has a low impact along with the low magazine size and low reload speed so it doesn't sounds that much of a beast in comparision to my best handcannon so far which is Regulator MK.56 (see image above) but since it is lvl 19 rare ,i can't use it :(
This is why i making this topic since i want to know what is the handcannon that i should look for in this game .

You need to level up Thorn - at least to unlock the damage over time perk - to truly appreciate the gun. In absence of Hawkmoon, I have 2 hand cannons that I love to use: Fatebringer - shoot at enemies' weak spots and watch them blow up never gets old. Thorn - shoot and say "you are already dead" as you watch your poison eating enemies alive. I hope you find the one you love soon. :)

I find that thorn is very handy in pvp due to the damage over time. Most of the time if you get 3 good hits in they will die from dot and you will get the post mortem. And lord high fixer for pve because of the better stats.

The regulator is great. I've got one that has 199 attack and it still gets 75 headshot damage in the iron banner

The devil you know for pve: large mag, good range and decent dmg The last word for pvp: nice stability and fire rate, great dmg in ib. Yet to gove thorn a try when fully upgraded, just to be clear. Not tried all the hand cannons.

I've used the Lord High Fixer(like twice lol) and the thorn( a lot more) so I'm biased to say thorn but I wanna try the LHF more. Any recommendations? Doesn't NM have a hand cannon that's good?

Explosive rounds=garbage In pvp it has maybe a use, but in the latest patch they reduced the screenshake if hit by expl. rounds, so even there are better options now.

Last word cause its awesome all around, and timurs lash cause i have explosive rounds.

Well for the most impact/damage: regulator, painted big chief, little voice and timur's lash. But fatebringer is so much better and worth it compared to just doing the most impact

The Devil You Know is the best hand cannon you can buy from a vendor (I haven't tried the crucible vendor hand cannon) Hawkmoon is my fav overall though.

Last word and devil you know are my favorites right now. I just completed the thorn bounty myself and only ran the daily with it. You have to play long range with it. It's a beast for precision shots. After the buff I expect it to be one of the best handcannons you can get.

Hawkmoon, The Last Word, and The Devil You Know for me in that order. I have Thorn. But I'm waiting for its buff.

The Chance is the best one I've gotten so far, but haven't fully leveled it yet. I haven't got any other legendary Or exotic HCs. I'm working on Thorn, but need to get some decent void weapons to complete it.

I imagine hawkmoon would edge out fatebringer by just a small margin but I wouldnt know as I play on xbox. Fatebringer is just slightly better than the devil you know because when your in the raid the explosive crit kill and fast reload will keep your uptime for damage higher. Also the help itll provide on oracles will make it outperform the devil you know.

I don't like thorn at all at least not for pve I'm just upgrading it all the way to see if it will redeem itself. If not then I might dismantle or keep in vault since it'd be my second thorn I'll have so I don't have yo swap guns with charecters.

I have fatebringer and Hawkmoon both fully upgraded. It's close but I would have to say fatebringer wins by a small margin!

2 RespuestasHawkmoon. 13 bullets, high impact, accurate as hell, bonus damage to 3 bullets per magazine. Also, Fatebringer. 8 bullets, Arc damage, targets explode when killed by critical, explosive bullets, high impact.

The regulator is a beast. Especially with explosive rounds. Now at a higher level id say hawkmoon is best hand cannon. I have a fully upgraded thorn and hm and the thorn sucks in comparison. As far as legendary the devil you know is great.

I have a Lord High Fixer with Rangefinder and kills damage buff. Also has field scout or increased range/accuracy. So I can have a 13 round clip or a second range buff that basically makes it a hand sniper rifle. I can pop heads from across the room!! All hail the Lord High Fixer!

I have a maxed lord high fixer with one 11 rounds one bullet does bonus damage and a kill adds a bullet to the clip. Nice gun.
