PVP- Horrible lag, delayed melee kills, net code etc. Please is anyone else experiencing this?
I don't have super super fast internet by any means, but I have never played a AAA game that had so much delay and lag in its PVP. I am constantly getting killed 2 seconds after they clearly should of died, then when I die, then my hits finally register and it kills them. Never had this problem in any Halo game, or any PS4 multiplayer game. Last of Us runs pretty much flawlessly in it's multiplayer . It's getting to the point where PVP feels like a chore and just straight up makes me angry and me and my fire team every match are saying things like "WTF....." "Howw????" "BULLLLLSHIT!!!!!!" I've never played a clean lag free match.
It's getting to the point where I feel it's next to unplayable.
Please share your frustration or lack there of.

My experience is that when I initially login and play everybody, including myself, have green status bars next to their name. After a few games the bars start to change with some having orange and as time goes on most end up having red bars and players often don't die when hit, instantly end up elsewhere, and generally the game suffers from lag associated issues. Spent ages and various option in an attempt to solve it but with no luck at all.

The pvp is broken. Just got fed the F up with iron banner and won't go back to the crucible for a long time, if ever. After house of wolves I am done with this beta...I loved the Halo series but damn Bungie, you guys suck

I'm afraid this is what happens with peer to peer multiplayer. If bungie used dedicated servers in geographic locations it would be a different experience entirely.

1 RespuestaWhen did your lag start acting up? Mine started a week ago with one of the updates. It was working perfectly fine and then all of a sudden, multiple avoidable deaths become impossible to escape. Sucks since I'm decent in PvP, but this lag makes it completely unenjoyable and makes me look worse than I really am. Nothing makes me happier than shotgun then meleeing a player, him/her turning around and killing me, then him/her falling over dead 3-4 seconds later from the shotgun shot. :O

I hate the lag too, had 4 amazing lag free games earlier, then the lag from others has just got worse, the usual invincible people, people just appearing or closing 50 meters in a second. Worse though was just in an IB where one of my teammates so they just had a sliver of health left, I unloaded a whole mag of heavy into him and super ed him and he regened to full health and shield and melee killed me, seriously Bungie this is getting worse, I thought you were supposed to be great at multi player but this is beyond a joke!

I run 55 mbps so Im running good. The problem is with the destiny servers. It seems to happen not during iron banner. So im guessing their servers get over populated and lag alot.

You've seen the kind of shitheads in this forum. They all use lag switches. It's easy to do on any system. They run in groups and force host and cause an artificial lag storm. The game is actually fine most of the time on bungies end. I got a great connection now and it still lags like that when the other team starts losing lol.

Yeah it has gotten worse lately too. Something I noticed, the person with the worst connect always had the highest score. I played 20ish games tonight and everyone was the same. The only time I was kicking ass was when I was red bar. -.- People jumping through golden guns or nova bombs, I eventually gave up after hitting 3 head shots on a non-moving target before he killed a blade dancer that was unable to damage him .

Yeah...the last week or so has been lag city, I've given up playing crucible until it's resolved.

I sometimes kill people way after I should be dead. And I also get killed by people way after they should be dead.

I'm on 100mb fiber and still have these issues to the point were I can't deal any damage at all. I've lost the last 10 (at least) pvp matches due to this, along with unfair matchmaking, noobs quitting >:( PLUS GETTING NOTHING FOR BEING THE TOP SCORER IN MOST OF THOSE MATCHES!!! WTF! I really don't see any point in playing PVP when you get nothing for doing well, only the frustration of shithouse netcode. I've given up on someone creating a decent PVP game these days. Back to the games that actually work!

Yeah! I killed someone in meele fight and ran for some seconds aiming for the next, but I got reser ro rhe place I killed the guy and eas told I died myself. PvP is fun but Unreal Tournament 2003 was so much better than this! I have now biught Crysis 2 and Fallout for PS3 for naught and will see how much better they might be. Of course Mass Effect 2 already is storywise much better, I fear it's delusional to hope Destiny will get better in the future. :(

I have great Internet yet have horrible lag today. Shot a shank that took a good 3 seconds to blow up. Sepiks had no health left yet it took 4 more rockets from me and my team dumping ammo into him before he died. The lag is real.

Yep, it's pathetic. Bungie should be ashamed of their efforts. I have a decent connection, one that gives me lag free gaming in all other games I play. Yet Destiny PVP is pathetically laggy. I'm going to boycott PVP from now on, so disappointed.
