I doubt it. It'll be successful, but the games aren't fighting each other for players. They do different things.
I'll play Destiny when i want to care about my character or play co op in a more story centered game
I'll play cod when i want to turn my brain off and just shoot stuff

What in this game makes you actually care about your character though? Any character for that matter? I'm seriously wondering.

Because i built him my way. Much more personalizrd than anything youd see in non rpg games

Ok, but other than simply creating a character, a key feature in any RPG, what does this game do to make you actually care about your character, or any character?

Theres also the idea that the character i built will eventually connect to something larger. Depends on if you believe the story gets more in depth later or not i guess
